A picture of the new 2010 Ford Taurus leaked out - and I must say it looks pretty damn good. It is a HUGE improvement over the current model. It is also supposed to have a TT 3.5L V6 good for 350hp. If the price was right, I think they'd have a hit on there hands. I dont know about the ultimate POS... that car made Ford a LOT of cash when it was introduced and correct me if Im wrong but thats the goal of a car company.

The spy shot looks good...modern but not too modern to scare off the 'regular joes' that buy these cars.

Certainly much better than the monstrosity thats out there now.

So what does this have to do with fieros?. Fiero's are a cult classic and the Taruis was a POS. we had two back in the day, one as almost brand new the other was brand new and they both broke down quite a bit.

Didn't yamaha do the engines for those?.

I'd love to see some alternatives out there other than the Camry. Bring it on.

Some of you guys are beyond rational. If it's not a Ferrari does that make it a POS? No....would I buy it, no, but it will be a good car I'm sure and make Ford alot of $$$$.

You people should try Euro Fords. Will blow your mind. The new Mondeo handles almost as well as the 3 series. The Focus is one of best handling small cars period. It utterly amazes me Ford doesn't sell cars half as good back in the US.

Because people don't drive around with "buy American" bumper stickers in Europe or Asian.

The new (2008) Taurus is actually a really GREAT car, for the money...

Sure, it's not an S class or a 7 series, but that isn't it's purpose! Just because it doesn't compare with cars twice, more like 3-4 times it's price doesn't make it a POS...

Go drive one and you'll think differently...I don't own one, I wouldn't trade out my M5 for one, but I'm not too proud to say it's a good car.

I applaud Ford and their current efforts. They know they have problems and they're TRYING to combat the "rental car" image they had with the Taurus for many years. I'm VERY excited if this is the future of the Taurus...Imagine a 350 HP 4 door sedan with a little style for $23995 (that's the base price of a 08 Taurus); and all that before any Rebates, and we all know, you can't sell a Taurus without Rebates ;-)

In Asia, yeah they do! Atleast in Manila that is. The Ford Expeds, Chevy Suburbs and the Hummer H2's are a status symbol car there. Most are owned by politicians, actors/actesses and the rest are drug lords and pimps! :D

Its not because its a ferrari, we have owned 2 of them in the past and they where terrible. Iv'e also rented them on road trips from CS to Denver and it seems that nothing has changed.

Id rather go buy the new Mailbu or a G6.

First I will start my post by saying my daily driver is a 2007 Honda Civic Si so a car being cheap is not my basis for calling a POS a POS. My girlfriend has a Taurus and everytime I am forced to drive it, I want to stab myself in the eye with something sharp. Even compared to a Civic the thing is about the worst feeling car I have ever driven. It can't turn, it can't accelerate, it can't stop, it has no style, and simply being associated with it makes you feel terrible...way to go Ford.
