I own the Ferrari 355 registry site. The site now has a pic upload feature. Users can upload several pics of their cars. No matter how small I resize the pics, they are somewhat blurry. Any suggestions? Any other settings to play with to make them look clear and sharp? The ones on my homepage look nice and fresh, but when uploading pics for inside the registry pages they are blurry...Tryed several differnt sizes from 640x480 down to small like 200x300 and nothing...

What are you using to resize the pictures? I use faststone photo resizer - its free and works great.

Do you have a link to one with a picture for reference?

This was the problem the "new" f-chat had at outset.

Been a long time since pics were automagically reduced to a thumbnail of then-specified size, but...

    Are you using inline images? [ img ] [ /img ]?
Are photos automagically resized by site to a default size? Doesn't matter if it's thumbnail or not, if ratio of original upload vs. displayed image is out of kilter, photo is out of kilter.

Are the pictures being resized or just scaled to a smaller size, the problem you are having is common with scaled pictures.

Do you use ImageMagick or the GD library? Either way it sounds like a quality issue - not size - they both have certain settings you can configure on the server.

I've done a lot of stuff to do with online image uploading and manipulation, give us more info to help or you can PM me if you like.
