Guys, I am moving from London to Sydney in a couple of months time and i am thinking of importing my beloved 430 to your sunny shores. Now here comes the scary part... not only the difference between a proper aussie ferrari and a pommie one is around 100k less according to a friendly F dealer (does that make sense to you?) but also (according to the same dealer, which i didnt find that friendly any longer by that point) apparently that kind of car would be almost impossible to sell in oz(!?). I understand that the guy would rather sell his own cars than imported but still... Do any of you guys have any opinion/experience in that matter?...thanks a lot!

The question has been raised numerous times and the general consensus is unless you plan on keeping the car because of sentimental value,it's not worth it when it comes to resale. That price difference you were comparing with the UK car to the Aussie car quickly gets chewed up by various taxes.I think in the end you might save roughly 10-15K but the headaches and resale loss wouldn't make it worthwhile.Only cars that make it worthwhile are rarer cars.
Unfortunately the dealer was right even though he may have had hidden motives as well
