... get the daggum clutch pack off! Single disk
Have you got the ring gear off the pressure plate? It has to be pried off. Have you removed the nine bolts (sorry, I said six bolts in the other thread) that hold the pressure plate onto the flywheel? Once those bolts are off, you still have to use a little persuasion to get the "feet" of the pressure plate to release from the flywheel (just use a big screwdriver to pry it loose on opposite sides, it will come). There is nothing else holding the clutch pack onto the flywheel.
Jerk That link is for a 2-disc. I have removed the gear ring ant all of the (multiple) hex bolts. It just won't budge, and I didn't wanna be too rough...
Uh Oh...you're onto my secret! Well, the bright side is that you'll get to contribute something to the 348 Brotherhood when you figure it out for teh single disc clutch.
By the way, Nate - you really don't need to start a new thread when you're in the middle of the project - it just makes it more confusing for people who are following your clutch job and learning from your experience.

Nice job! Now, out with it. Did you press in the clutch pedal to get the clutch pack to release...or have you discovered some other "secret" that needs to be revealed to the 348 Brotherhood?! Come on now, you are about to make your first non-fleshy-pic contribution to the tech knowledge base!
Ha! I just "Old Skool" pried it apart! Fear not... This noobie, no Ferrari-ownin' kid is about to create the first "Single-disk Clutch Removal" resource page. Put that in yer pipe and smoke it Image Unavailable, Please Login
