How would you make FerrariChat.com better?

How many users in the 1024x768 column are still active...? How accurate is that graph - and by that I mean, when is the last time FC cultivated users for that information and updated the graph...? If that graph's information is accurate - and a majority of the users in the first column are still active, is there a way to "scale" FerrariChat per user...? Can a setting be created where one user can view images that appear no greater than one size, whereas another user can adjust said setting to show images at the their full (or closer to full resolution)...? This would benefit everyone who likes to download the images that are posted here.

 

Yes, I'm familiar with how that works - I believe I was, at one point, the user with the highest number of attachments. As far as I know, the limit is above 20. But I'm referring to the ability to click the "Browse" button and select, let's say, a hundred images in an instant, click OK and then, back at the upload window, just click upload. I imagine with as many users as FerrariChat has - and as much traffic as this site sees - your hosting company has burstable pipes that allow for such occurrences as large quantity file uploads.

FC was hacked once - and it wasn't open code back then. If someone wants to get in, they'll get in. And I'm sure there are preemptive measures that can be taken to ensure that, even with open code, FC were protected to a higher standard.

 

I'm not sure if this has been suggested (maybe you should post a list of the suggestions every 5 pages) but a "Back to Thread" button would be handy once you have posted a PM so you can go back to the page you were reading after you drop someone a PM.

Being able to delete a ferrariad that I placed would be nice, unless im missing something I just cant figure out how to do that.

Click "My Ads" at the top of the FerrariAds.com page.

Scroll to the bottom of the page. There should be a move/delete option.

 

Make a minimum ammount of characters you can type before posting, thereby elliminating all the +1 and type of replies

 

make "fcar" and "pcar" censored words.

 

A 3 day ban for people who start threads in an incorrect section =)

Or some sort of pre-registraton orientation that would force a new user to at least acknowledge that there are other areas to the forum.

Also...

I know this would probably be complicated (and possibly grossly unfair or abused), but some sort of feedback system. A system whereby memebers could self police themselves and others. Even to the point where their feedback %/meter/level would be right next to the user name....

There are several Country Clubs around the country that employ a system whereby a member can get a 1 month "time out" for bad behaivor...enough red flags,points,complaints from either fellow members or staff earns them the time out.

When you are in Ferrari Ads, looking at something for sale, and then "x" out to close the photo....it drops you all the way back out of to FerrariChat. It should allow you to close a pop up, and continue looking at the ad.

 

I still want to know how much time ive spent on F-chat?

 

When I click on a link to a thread someone has posted I am frequently greeted with a "log-in" screen even though I am logged in already. This requires that I somehow remember a password that I haven't used in months (the site recognizes me without logging in).

I've sent emails with links to pictures here. The recipient is likewise greeted with the "log-in" screen before they can view the image. It might be good for the site if "outsiders" could view a snapshot without creating a userid first.

Do you use thebestemployee.com or ferrarichat.com?

Both display ferrarichat content, but the address and cookies are different.

I use f-c. if somebody links me to t-b-e, I have to log in.

I could just stay logged in under both, but, I don't, because; if an issue arises, at least one moderator can confirm cookies are working properly by keeping certain doors open and closed.
