So sorry if this thread is a repeat but I did a search and couldn't find anything. Anyhow, I got a fix it ticket for no plate and I need a solution on what the heck to do. I wont put on the bracket for obvious reasons. Anyone have the temporary fix?

I carry the front plate inside the car along with some zip ties. If I get stopped I'll zip tie the plate to the car and have the cop sign it off then and there. If he refuses, then I'll go to the DMV the next day and get it signed off.

Just installed my "collector vehicle" plate today! No more regestration fees and only need to display the rear plate! (actually thats all they give you!)

    Cheers!

You DOG! If only I could make my '86 328 somehow appear as 30 years old or older!!!

Good for you - in the meantime, I have to worry about the 'Front Plate Posse' getting me :)

Check out the Canada Front licence plate thread. I posted my solution to that problem with a simple solution. If you can't find it, PM me.

Here's my solution: go to: Canada ---Vancouver owners...front license plate. I scanned the plate and plasticized it and then stick on front bumper with double sided tape. Also carried front plate in car and if asked would say, " I've ordered bracket" and hope to get away with it. Mostly, I stay away from areas where exotic cars congregate.

I saw the perfect solution on a 430 at local Baldy run we had couple weeks ago....(im sure you can find a photo of it on that thread, in so cal section)

this 430 had a fabricated type holder that screwed into the front where you screw in the tow hook if you ever needed it (so you dont have to do anything to the car...it is already there!!). It would be so simple for any metal/welding shop to fabricate.

Screw it in...get sign off. Unscrew...no muss no fuss..

    Good luck
