Yeah I saw it. He clicked off a 1:44 in the WET even. It was pretty funny listening to him comment as he took his lap.

yep, seems like a pretty normal guy..I'd like to see the videos from some of the other F1 drivers listed on the board (Webber, Mansell, etc).

I thought it was great. He seems to be down to earth and grateful for where he is today. I have a whole new outlook about the guy. I hope he has a successful season.....right behind the red cars though.

Thanks for posting - yes, we saw it too - Lewis has a great sense of humor and great driving the little sedan on the wet and oily track. Our player is set to record any previously unrecorded editions of Top Gear which for us is the one that comes on at 7:00 pm Central on the BBC (channel 264). The one that comes on at 8:00 pm is the first one from the prior week - thus the Lewis/Renault F1 car will be on at 8:00 pm Central on the 21st.

I also liked the bit on driving the Renault F1. And people say they're easier to drive, yeah right.

I assume you guys watched this on BBC America?
I watched it as well- and its like 8 months old- not sure why they cant air the new episodes the
same date or within a few days of their airing in England. I have watched almost every episode in
advance on either youtube or torrents a yr before they air. Whats the deal beeb? Is this punishment
    for Iraq?

    Very quick in the wet.

Would have been faster if Fernando had set up the car for him, though.

^Yeah and he cut half the track during his lap in the reasonably priced car.

    Trans-atlantic travel time, Brit style.

Remember how long it took for the response to the Falklands invasion? ;)

Do they do the runs in the same car? Tire pressures? Old tires vs. new tires? Etc, etc., etc...

Little things make a big differance in a little car.

In any case he did look like he was just playing around while driving, laughing, singing, smiling.

That was actually quite a bit of fun. It was good watching Lewis joking as he was driving, the only other F1 driver I saw on there was Button. He was good, but not as funny.

Wow. I finally caught the episode on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rEiyWH-xW1g ... (tivo deleted it before I could watch.)

It's amazing how relaxed Lewis is during his lap, especially considering how quick he went on a wet/oily track. The kid is clearly gifted. It's like it's all "muscle memory" for him, he's not even thinking about the task at hand.

Long as he follows TheReds he can be as talented as he wants, unless of course he was driving a Red!

BEST, that would be Alsonso, the best dang driver in F1, thank God he is in a pox Renault![For now]

    Ciao
