I've done an Fchat search for this item and a fitted reflective windshield screen. Found DashMat and ItalianCarParts.com as names that supply them, and have checked out their websites.

Both companies have items that apppear to be suitable.

Anyone have experience with these companies' products, what's the best dash pad material to get for serious UV protection, etc.?

Also Checked out Ferrari Owners Site and Griot's, nothing at either.

    Thanks in advance...scott.

    Scott,

Let me know which you end up going with. I might get one for my 328.

    Best regards,

It seems a shame to me to cover the whole dash.

I found that the glare was only prevolent above the instrument cluster.
So I cut a piece of black felt out to fit the cluster hump & used 4 small velcro circles
to hold it down. This way, the cover is easily removed and being small & black, is not noticeable. Works like a charm.

Thanks. I have the website bookmarked and will check it out.

Looks nice. Where did you get it?

Summers, May thru Sept., are very hot in Dallas, and I don't even like to take the Ferrari out when temps above the high 70's. But, there are a couple of regular summer events here, held outdoors, and I need the most practical combination of good appearance and xclent UV protection.

My 308 was obviously kept garaged by both prev owners...all rubber, vinyl, bumpers, etc., in new condition...want to keep it that way!

More suggestions are welcome, and yes, I will post about what I get. I'm going to be ordering something soon.

I went with the Dash Mat last year and have been very happy with it, inexpensive, and a nice fit also.

The real reason for the mat in my case, was to stop the BLINDING GLARE !!!! from the dash. I could not imagine driving this car without the mat. The glare IMO is dangerous, surprised Ferrari didn't design a better situation for this, or there own mat.

I had the glare problem somewhat with my 330 2+2, and the 308 is worse, with the very large dashtop and glossy vinyl... a matte material would be better. I'm also surprised Ferrari overlooked something so obvious in basic design, and still doesn't offer aftermarket covers.

Dash Mat looks like a good place to purchase from.

Unless I looked in the wrong area, I did not see Ferrari as a brand that they make dash mats for.

    Did they custom make yours?

    Best regards,

I'm going to read it now, thanks.

Dino: Under "Original Dash Mat" and "Signature Series" are mats for Ferraris.

That looks really good; I'd also like to see the link.

    Thanks JSA,

I just checked. It looks like they make them for 308s, but not 328s. I guess I'll have to look for another source. It looks like a 308 dash mat won't fit a 328. A 308 dashmat would cover my subsidiary gauges on the center of the dashboard.

    Best regards,
    Dino

I've got a DASHMAT and it does just that. However, without it, a pair of quality polarizing sunglasses make an amazing difference and take care of most of the glare off the pod also.

that was the same one that I saw before (Italian car parts). I cannot confirm that it is the same as on mine as mine came installed. Would be worth a call to ICP to understand the material it is made of as it looks like a very low cut carpet in the small imsages they show.

    Hope it's the right stuff!!!

Excellent!! Thank you very much - I completely missed them!

Question is... which one do you have? Velour or carpet?
