Does anyone know what the color would be on the green one. It looks lighter than the other greens I have. Thanks for the old photo. Everyone out there keeping them coming.

barney is more of a magenta color, where as viola is more of a light metallic purple

    :)

    jon,

checking the paint swatch book, it looks exactly as what i have as verde medio metallizzato which is a mossy green metallic (looks like the aston martin green). the photo that you have for verde medio is much greener than the swatch color

The pink Dino in the photo labelled "???????????????" looks like an old Mopar color, "Panther Pink".

Agreed. Look at the Ferrari folding chairs and what looks like a partly obscured Craftsman sign in the background. They are pink also. That tells me that the car is actually red and that somebody has simply tampered with the color in the photo.

I was thinking that it looked a little odd but the picture showing it with all the trim and headlights on makes it work really well.

i wonder why the owner of the green car decided to put an antenna in the front left wing and ferrari nose badges on the fenders? that looks pretty silly

    Jon,

Do you think that you could substitute this photo for Verde Germoglio? It shows the color in a much better light.

    Thanks,
    Dan

From JCR - "The "do not paint" list would include avorio safari and giallo senape. Those early 70's earth tones.... yuck... I remember when my mom painted the stained wood kitchen cabinents avacodo green. I still don't know what she was thinking"

You sure know how to hurt a guy. That is my Giallo Senape Dino in the picture. Say what you like...call it bad names...diaper yellow, salmonella green, hang-over emesis-like-bile, no matter what you say, it is the same color as my shag carpet and formica counter tops in 1972 when it was manufactured. If Ferrari painted five Dinos this color it was too many, and I suspect they garbaged the leftover paint...all to suggest that it is worth that much more today with the original paint and 8,000 miles. I doubt five cars left the factory looking this bad...looking this bad all the way to the bank.

I will not paint this car. It shall be left as is in perpetuity.

You're right. I had noticed the folding chairs, but figured they had just had them made to match (I've seen goofier things); I didn't notice the Craftsman thing, though! Also, the grass is very un-saturated, turn signal lenses are the wrong color, etc. etc. . . someone was playing with the color balance, channels, output levels, etc. in Photoshop... The end result still looks like Panther Pink, though! :)
