Ferrari Challenge @ Infineon May 2-4

Is this event open to the public? Are tickets sold in advance or at the gate? Or might it be free? Thanks.

Don't quote me, but I know it is open to the public. The great thing is that everyone is allowed to be in the pits, so you get to see everything RIGHT in front of you. I haven't been to one yet, but I hope to make it to this year's event. As far as tickets? I have no idea how much they cost...

 

Yes it is open to the public and you can buy tickets at the gate.

 

Thanks. Several of us will caravan to Sonoma from Sacramento. Is Saturday or Sunday better? Or both equally entertaining?

This event will also feature the FXX Group and Corse Clienti F1 cars.

All cars go out on the track on both days but Sunday is the actual Challenge race. Obviously the race adds a bit more excitement than just the cars doing practice laps.

 

I'll definetley be there this year. Seen pics and it looks like a great event. Really want to see/hear an FXX!!!

Acually, there are two races... one saturday and one sunday... same points alloted in each. Have fun if you head out! FNA usually runs a driving school too. Lots of track time in your street car.

 

FC is a great experience!

Does anyone have any experience with the VIP Hospitality package for $120? Worth it?

I haven't been to this event and would like to know if it's worth it. Otherwise, I don't mind bringing my Brand X car and park with the masses and STILL get to view the Challenge cars up close.

 

Can't make it friday or saturday, but will hopefully be there on sunday....sunday sounds like a good day, right?

I've always attended the event on Saturdays and had tons of fun... This will be my third time going!

 

How are the races at Laguna in August?

 

I would also know whether the VIP packages are worth it?

I am driving down from seattle with my son to the races and i talked with the owners of Ferrari of Seattle which they have 3 car's entered and Roberto said that it 1st class treatment. So i guess i will see when i get there on sunday. I have never been to the races before so i am hoping it will be worth it.

Major question .... how's the parking? Can you bring your FCar and not worry about door dings? We KNOW that this is #1 concern.

the vip package says it give you access to park in the ferrari paddock area, meaning you cant park there unless you have the VIP package?

 

About how many fcars in all show up, both challenge and street cars?

In case anyone is wondering, Friday is free admission, and on Saturday and Sunday there is a $20 fee at the gate.

 

Not a great video, but shows how easy it was to park, and there is protected area.

I believe some of the VIP package includes lunch etc. in an private tent....we usually eat before we go.

Is it worth buying the VIP package?
It cost 20 bucks to get in at the gate.
The VIP package cost about 120 per person.

So what's so VIP about it besides being able to park with the rest of the horses and a meal?
I'm sure for $200 bucks I can bring my wife to a nice restaurant.

What else does a "VIP" get besides the parking and a meal?
