O man I can't wait ive been playing 4 and the gt5 demo to condition myself for countless hours spend playing this game. What kind of times are you getting for the demo or HD concept? Im in the 1:16's
Has anyone gotten their Logitech Drive Force Pro (the one that came out alongside GT4) to work with their PS3? I don't have a PS3 but I've tried it on two occasions on the PS3s of friends and had no joy...
My Driving Force Pro works great. Are you using one that came out before the PS3? I think they may have updated it.
GT4 was released before the PS3, so it may be that your DFP isn't compatible, although mine says it works with a PS2. I'd ask Logitech.
I can assure you that it is compatible because my system is running on it ps3 with 2 play seats pro and logitec G25 steering wheels plus pedals and gear shift unit. I have this setup in the hotel. I also have the full version of GT5 already and its amazing, a must to have. First to pictures are from the playstation setup and the GT5 game Last 2 pictures is from our fun machine a Skoda Fabia WRC Alex Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
FYI, this isn't the "full" version of GT5. It is a "Prologue" with 40 cars that's supposed to be a sneak peak of the actual full version of GT5, due in 2009. ~shahedc .
I have my copy of GT5 in my jacket now, a Logitech G25 and Bob Earl VRC hooked up to my Samsung 70 in TV at home. Unfortunately i'm stuck at work till 8:00 pm.... Sucks to be me, lol
My copy might be here tommorow. Friday at the latest!!!! Amazon sent me an email saying, "Yeah we screwed up on you and a zillion other people, sorry."
I rolled up to Game Stop at lunch and got a copy. As soon as my wife is done hogging the big screen, I'm gonna tear it up.
DAMN!!! That is one slick setup! I'm jealous!! As far as an old DFP being compatible with a PS3 or not, I was just speculating.
Man, I suck something awful. I beat all the C class races, and I've beat all but one B class race. The race where you have one lap to overtake the other 15 cars on track, and they force you to use the Honda/Acura Integra/RSX Type R... I've done it at least 20 times, best finish was 4th, but usually end up between 8-10th... Anyone got any tips?
Yes. Speaking of F1 cars, in order to get the F2007, you must complete all of the A,B, and C class races, which will open up the S class races. Once you beat those, you can buy the F2007. I also learned today that as of now, you can't create private rooms in GT5P online in order to race only your buddies. Polyphony will be releasing an update to allow this in the future, but right now it's luck of the draw who you end up racing. I will stay offline for the time being to avoid all the 12 year olds who try to win races by ramming everyone else off the track.
Here is the cockpit view from the F2007. Note the detail on the steering wheel and the info on the LCD display.
I'm stuck at the same spot, just stay with it. Drafting does work and also if you don't brake for a corner and just shove the nose of the car in there and bounce another car to slow you down that works too. I've tried it a few times as well, i'll get it done tonight. Also was it me or did the GTR suck? No warning it just spins. Fast in a straight line though.
i think you have to be very gentle with controls in the gtr....any sudden move will snap the car sideways.....extremely difficult or impossible to recover. the gtr is fast when you get it right but, difficult to be consistent.
You might be right, I'll try that next time. I find it interesting that it would be the case on an AWD car. I also have a Z06 and it's easier to drive than the GTR. I wonder if it really does handle like that.
I dont like the GTR either. It was fast but not all that much fun to drive. I sold it as soon as I could. Has anyone driven the M3 yet? Is it any good? Right now I'm saving up for that and the Elise.
i doubt it....i own a 350z....& drove it in gt5....I couldn't make the connection. i can see the resemblence with weight transfer + noise...etc. but, that's about it.
I've never driven a GTR (obviously) but i have driven vettes and it's similar to the game handling-wise. I can't say for sure about a Z06 yet however because i was only a passenger. They might have missed the mark with the GTR. I doubt it would be as nervous to drive for real as it is in the game. All the mags are saying it's bloody quick around a race track.
