I'm going to knock out a batch of aluminum 6061-t6 billet speaker grills and side mirror bases. The speaker grills are a replication of the existing plastic part, while the mirror base, I have designed off the mirror itself, without having a base to pattern against. Both parts will be bead blasted finish. If anyone needs some, let me know, i'll need $50 each for them. The initial batch of grills will be of 23 units; i'll be keeping 6 for myself resulting in 17 units available. The mirror bases i'll do on order, but if you know of a source for them, i'd rather buy them than make them. Thanks

Thank you very much for your interest in the grills.

Here's some actual pics of the parts side by side, they are under 6" square (i could tomorrow get the actual specs.). Does anyone know if these are the same as the 365GT4?

Anyway, if any of you need something manufactured, let me know as we have a machine shop full of equipment with which we support our manufacturing operation, and sometimes the automotive bits are a breath of fresh air for us.

It looks great - my car is in the shop right now having the calipers rebuilt, so I can't check on the state of my grilles. I am missing a vent grille in the passenger footwell on my 1980 400i, though, and I'd love to replace the automatic gear shift surround with something more classy - I think it is metallized plastic and is looking a bit tired.

Don't be put off by the lack of response!

Hi Sebastien, Mike M here.I PM,d you about the grilles and the fitting to a 365 GTC4. I looks like yours are retained by 4 small screws. Is this the case? The C4 ones are pushed into place although yours could probably be made to work. Ill have others from the C4 website chime in on this. Mike

We actually use Siemens' SolidEdge (same Parasolid kernel as SolidWorks), with NX5 CAM for machining. If anyone needs the 4" grills, I guess a model would be very important, let me know.
