Yes, my neighbor just acquired a Bugatti Veyron, navy with silver. He's willing to put it in the car show that I am chairman of on October 4. But do I really want it? I'm worried about some nutcake coming up and vandalizing it for attention, etc. I thought about roping it off and stationing an armed officer there all day. Any other suggestions? Is this a big liability issue for the school that we had best avoid?

I wouldn't worry too much about someone messing with the car. Make sure that someone is there, at all times standing close and watching the car. Come to think of it, ropes are a good idea...

On a second thought, Veyrons are 4 wheel drive... Does that mean they are trail rated?

Post some pics of your neighbors new car please :)

I talked to him on Friday and I'm supposed to go and see it sometime in the next week or two. My wife saw it on Thurs. Only Jeeps are trail-rated my friend.

Different neighbor. The one with the fake Lambo is in jail. Seems he had a brush with the law. Some white powdery substance found in his Hummer.

Is it 1:1 scale or 1:18th?

If it's real, whay are you asking? you have the same liability for damage if its a veyron, a ferrari f40, a 355, or a mercedes SLK.

So you are putting on a car show and you ask if you should turn down arguably the current king of the supercars?

Did you just get back from fishing? Something smells funny...

I agree Simon. If you were bringing your (previous :-( ) f40 to one of my benefits I would be shouting it from the rooftops and every on in town and likely the state would know it. You gents all would.

Hux seems to be afraid to tell a bunch of car enthusiast where they could go see the king of super cars, and miss out on a ton of bucks for his cause.

And that he seems to know nothing about liability insurance is, well, telling.

That tends to spell fraud, bull ****, crapolia, ect.

    But I did find this!!!

Which one is you Hux? I have a little side bet here....

I find it curious that suddenly no response from the thread starter...

How about some pics of your neighbor's Veyron? Or maybe he sold it already... ;)

Why does this thread bring back memories of Vic (my daddy's buying one of every car made) ?

Husker seems to be the classic post and run type of person that will post in a thread until BS is called or he looks like a total idiot. Both of which tend to happen at the same time. I suspect he looks a lot like his avatar.

Sometimes you guys act like hungry piranha; when there's no fresh meat around, you turn on each other....

(But that's OK, because they installed a new popcorn machine upstairs in the break room this week, so there is always plenty available for threads like this.)
