It is such a great news!!! Hopefully, the new club would be a fantastic center for all Ferrari's owners and tifosi in that area! We are looking forward to hearing the news, and also seeing pictures of your club's events and activities in the near future. Best wishes from Ferrari Club of Thailand (FCT), Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hey thats great news. I've considered getting something off the ground in Saudi too. Sadly though we dont have any tracks over here.
Adnaan,I have heard several times that Jeddah had a project to build a race track,do you know anything about that ?
I wish you were in Doha, I'd join straightaway :-( Are there many members? I am a UK member and I miss my cars terribly
Hi this is Fred. the President of the new UAE Owners Club. We currently have 80 owners/members but that number is growing fast. We just got started, our website should be up soon. The club is open to UAE resident owners but also to owners outside the country, specifically Oman and Qatar. Some events might be interesting enough to join even from Doha or Muscat. I'll let you all know when the website is online, so you can see our agenda of events.
Hello Fred and welcome. Are you the owner of that beautiful Deep red (rosso something) 599 with tan interior?
Yep that's me. Where/when did you see it? The red colour is Rubino Metalizata, it was used for the launch of the 599 and appears in the brochures. The colour is no longer available I believe unless you make a special (colour) order.
Congratulations & thanks for the post. Hopefully we can start a club here is Saudi Arabia. Does it require any approval from Ferrari or the local agent/dealer? There is a race track in Jeddah, but the activities are limited to 1/4 mile drag races, auto cross & new cars presentations to the media. Some Ferrari owners participated in a parade as part of the celebrations of last years national day. here is a clip on Youtube, the gentleman wearing a yellow cap in a 430 is Mamdoh Khayat, former middle east 2 times rally champion & current general manager of Ferrari dealership: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UdlA90fATDE Regards.
In order to get the rights to use the logo and get official recognition as well as being mentioned on Ferrari's own webiste you need to get formal approval from Ferrari. There's a lot of work to be done. If you want I can take you through the details, just send me a PM. The co-operation with the local dealer is important but not a formal requirement. The biggest problem however is not to find the owners, but to have someone spending lots of time working on the club structure, dealing with Ferrari Italy and organising the events. Let me know.
Here are 2 pics of one of our events in Abu Dhabi. One of them is probably the one you got from Zia. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi Fred.. you've got a nice rubino metalizata there.. Last night, i did a photoshoot for Zia's car I'll post the pics soon. I wanted to know if the FerrariclubUAE website is up and running.. let me know once it is ..
We are working on the website (once it's life you can find it under: www.ferrariownersclubuae.com) and expect a first version to be ready in 2 weeks from now. That version will then be enhanced with among others member-specific content. We have an event coming up on May 25th which will start with a parade/drive from the Al Tayer Ferrari Showroom at 1PM. We are expecting some 25+ cars to join. y car, the 599 rubino metalizata, will not be there, since I shipped it to Europe 2 days ago for a 4 week tour of Germany, Switzerland and Italy I'll be making later this summer. Zia will not be there also, he's away from Dubai that day I believe.
