With so much work on such a project, I would have taken some kind of coachbuilding course before if I was him to avoid, ehm, mediocre output in that sector... that turbocharger looks pretty wild, btw...

On some level, you have to respect a guy who embraces his passion enough to go out and create something out of nothing with his own two hands....

On another level, you have to wonder how a guy with no (obvious tallent) can bring this thing out in public......

The greenhouse of the car looks like Camry, with an Saleen S7 body grafted on the sides.

Is the frontbumber molded out of play-do?

Ran out of $ for paint?

    To each his own.

I respect the guy for his passion, his mechanical skill and his aility to (somewhat) finish a project.

The guy did everything himself. Not everyone has an unlimited pocketbook to get others to do aspects of the car that he was not able to do himself, so I applaud him.

    Too bad there's no video.

I really like the Orochi. The design is novel and distinctly Asian...how often can you say that in Auto design?

Well you people always complain about the replicar communitiy replicating the cars you guys love and why not build something original? we he did just that and it still fails to get respect.

All I can say it is much better than slaping together a POS Honda civic with a crappy bodykit, fartcan for go and lambo doors.

the uragano doesn't look bad, it has the generic shape of supercars since the 90s. there are far uglier cars out there produced by big name manufacturers. good for him for making something from scratch.

Let's lighten up here for just a minute lest I post a few pictures of some concept cars from prestigious design houses that make this car seem beautiful.

This isn't some slapped together kitcar or rebodied something else. This was obviously his dream car and if it doesn't quite appeal to the "peanut gallery" so what? From what I see it looks pretty darned good. Anyone who builds a real, original car with a hand formed aluminum body (nicely done if not everyone's favorite design) deserves respect.

Just as an off-hand observation: I knew a guy who spent every evening (sometimes all night) for about 10 years building a 1/3 scale model of a Case steam traction engine (steam tractor). It looked EXACTLY like the real thing, and you could steam it up and actually drive it. I do not think there was a commercial part on it except for such things as plumbing fixtures and fasteners. He let me come over to his house and help work on it from time to time, and finally when it was done, I was the second person allowed to drive it!!!

Another observation: I have really more admiration for people who make beautifully executed street rods than the so-called replicar builders (or for this kind of thing).

But you do have to kind of admire the effort that goes into it - I just wish he could have come up with something as pretty to look at as old Joe Mikeska's Case Tractor. It was truly well made, and even a kid could tell that right away.

The back of this car is on par with the older Gallardo rear ends. I'd say they're tied for worst looking rear end on a modern sports car.

Good for him. I know I couldn't do the same. There seems to be a fine tradition of Italians handbuilding fine sports cars!
