DFW Ferrari and Exotic Spotters

Lime Green Gallardo parked at the Worthington today during the Main St. Arts Festival in Downdown Ft. Worth. Brave owner to leave his car out there, I came back an hour later & it looked like a swarm of flies to honey on that car.

Spotted the dryhole LP640 sunday doing a cruise with me and Smitty. After the twisties going north from Medical City Hospital, we did a couple of 30mph rolling starts up thru the middle of 3rd gear on the LBJ access road. It was a dead heat with the Ford GT. Thought the e-gear might get me while I shifted, but hung tough. It was a great day for a cruise.

 

I think he had a few broken bones, but he lived to have a hell of a story. He was just driving it to the shoot, I don't believe it was a stunt driver. Mabey it should have been...

 

Spotted an F40 turning right on to Preston from Beltline yesterday afternoon.

 

Rosso Rubino (I think) 355 at one of the ?X?X?X-plex TCU rentals just South of Berry, on University Dr. at about 10:15. Must have been a good date.

 

gray R8 last night on Greenville Ave. First one I've ever seen. I like.
Parked at a sushi restaurant. I can't remember the name of the place.

 

In Deep Ellum today, near Ela y Alla ( I think the name's right ) during lunch, a Nero Gallardo wedged between two SUV's on the side of the road...

Red 550/575 with shields on Lemmon..

Black 430 and black Maser "I killed a man with a trident!" GranTurismo in valet at the W..

 

On Dalrock, my girlfriend told me she followed a black Maser (she wasn't sure the model) to 30, then later that evening we were heading to a party near the Colony, and there was a odd race on Windhaven at the tollway, A mustang GT that was ghettofied, and a silver Bentley GTC around 9:00. The GTC blew the GT out of the water without even trying...

 

I'm not sure the model, it looked to be late 80's to mid 90's, dark blue in color with the Bentley/Rolls wheelcovers. We were paired all the was from Dalrock until we exited for 635. That was this morning. And as an afterthought, the GTC sounded like a beast last night...

 

Spotted a yellow 360 Modena Spyder on Midway & Park Blvd yesterday evening & last night around midnight there was a Maserati Merak in front of Martini Park inside Shops at Legacy.

 

Sitting at the gas station, I was watching the cars go by around six. There was a silver Bently Conti GT, a black Aston V8 Vantage Roadster by the 24 Hour Fitness across the street,and a fairly good looking (which is rare for me to say about these) graphite colored NSX. Almost makes the 50.00 fill up worth it when you have scenery like that...

 

At the 97.9 The Beat Custom Car Show on Sunday there was a Maserati GranTurismo and Campagna T-Rex.

Saw either a dark blue or dark grey Audi R8 off Midway/Spring Creek area. Was headed to a buddies house in the subdivision and saw it drive down McKamy street.

red 430 on maple and McKinney driving past The Crescent and TruLucks. Many others, but nothing worth posting after seeing (and hearing) the 430.

Between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m. today i saw a black 599 turning south on to Preston road and just before that a Darker blue Gallardo Spyder on Harvest Hill heading east toward Preston road.

 

Late model silver-gray/red spyder (can't name model right offhand...550?) with shields parked at Starbucks, La Vista & Gaston, appx. 3PM Saturday.

This is the second very late model/very expensive Ferrari I've seen in the Lakewood area in last 2 weeks.

 

On Thursday around 4:30, there was an Orange 68/69 Yenko S/C Camaro coupe at Walnut Hill and Audelia, then back home in Rowlett, the Doc had the silver Bentley GT out again, ans a silver Viper RT/10 at the church parking lot with a bunch of amazing classics and muscle cars... Last night there was a pretty blah red Viper convertible between Hooters and House of Blues around 11:00.

 

Around noon, at the carwash on Preston in University Park. A black DB9 (I believe) and a silver Bentley GTC with the top down and the kids in the back seat. Both heading south...

 

Black Murcielago headed South on Hwy 274 Between Kemp and Seven Points. I realize I'm one of a select few that even knows where this is. Not many exotics in that neck of the woods, and it's been a few years since I've taken my car down there. I'd guess the Murci owner has one of the seriously high $$ homes on Cedar Creek Lake.
