Recently my hairline has gone back a couple of millimeters. Because of a scar on my head I have a keen sense of where my hair line should be. Yet I didn't notice until my granddad mentioned it to me earlier.

I never expected to have to deal with this problem. However it's here and I feel like I've caught this early so what can/should I do?

    Rogaine?
    See a dermatologist?
    Surrender and shave my head?

I'm sure if there was a miracle cure there would be no baldness, but any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,
    Brad

Rogaine sux, been there done that

go to GNC & buy some biotine over the counter

see a dermatologist and get a prescription for Propecia or Avadart, I think they were both made to shrink the prostrate but as a side effect they also grow hair

6 months w both these should help considerably. I've been on both for almost 2 months & Ive seen my hair grow and thicken

I am going to do hair surgery Thurs w Dr Rawnsley of LA @ UCLA, will let you know how it goes

Just shave it. Seriously. My hairline started receding in my early 20's, and got bad a few years ago (I'm 30 now). I tried Rogaine, tried Propecia, tried a bunch of stuff. It slowed it, but I realized I didn't want to be one of those guys doing everything he can to save a few bits of hair.

I started shaving my head, and wish I would have done it in High School. I love it. Not only do I feel more confident (and look better, I must say...), it' sooooo easy. I cut my own hair. I don't worry about it. No "oh, you're hair is thinning jokes". Instead, my friend's wives talk about how hot it is :)

Yep it's all about YOUR attitude to it ... simpliest solution is to get over it. Instead of the hair rubbish go to the gym and tone up, then you will feel good about youself and be healthy at the same time.

Why modern men have chosen to become "women-like" and worry too much about how they look is beyond me?. Next there will be Mans Weekly magazines, heck there already is make-up like ****.

This topic comes up every 4 months or so.

Buy yourself a Headblade and get used to women wanting to rub your scalp. No need for expensive shampoos, conditioners, gels, hat hair, waiting in line at the haircut place, bad hair days, etc. Hair's overrated anyway. :)

15 years ago, I tried Rogain............It gave me horrible nightmares! Four years later, I moved to the country and have worn a ballcap every day since then (Except when on business travel). I'm thining too, but where I want to throw money is at the doctor that did Melodie's bolt-on's! A moderate face lift is what I want for Christmas!

    AKA Provillus.

That or Propecia, plus Rogaine is an excellent combination.

Just cut it real short and get used to it. The thinner it gets, the shorter you cut it. If you try to fight it and wear hats, you end up looking like a bigger tool when you finally take your hat off in front of chicks. There will be no surprises.

Just ask Brett Michaels and Kenny Chesney.

If it is starting, honestly, there isn't anything that you can do to stop it. You can slow it down, but it is going to happen.

So you have two choices, you can either embrace it, or deny it. The sooner that you embrace what is happening, the sooner that you can move on with other things. It is just your hair, it isn't your personality, it doesn't make you who you are.

A lot of guys like to identify themselves with things like that, but it is honestly stupid. You are a sum of a lot of different parts, taking one thing away doesn't change the whole at all. So I say cut it short and just deal with it. If someone brings it up just say that you have accepted it and moved on, make it a topic to joke with rather than a sensitive subject.

    Shave it.

Holding onto balding hair is like going down with the sinking ship... if you were not blessed with a thich head of hair, let it go.

Nothing worse than balding men trying to use shapoo and other crap to cover up. Unles you do a replant, dont bother.
