The motivation for your sarcasm is clear, but, to be fair it does have a unique history (if ownership by the playboy son of an industrialist for 12 months can be described as such!), and it does have the uncommon specification of an open filler-cap and chromed bumpers (seen only on a few Miuras I know of), but none of that has anything to do with the fact that its last-of-a-series status has been blatantly promoted over the past 10 years with full knowledge that this is inaccurate. The owner of another SV that rightfully claims this status has strong feelings about this, as Im sure do many others. BTW the aforementioned dash-plaque is indeed a fake, and non-original to boot. I saw the car here in California when it was at a bodyshop in 1992 for accident repair and at that point it had yet another dash-plaque, in a different color, and in a different language (not Italian) proclaiming something similar. The point is, anyone can bolt on anything they want and pretend that it is authentic, or that it lends credibility to what they wish a car's history to be. This car is exhibit "A" for such activities. And hey, dont shoot me for being the messenger of the obvious!! Joe www.joesackey.com
Perhaps I should put a dash-plaque in my car too, but mine would be authentic: the Mimran QV ... http://www.countach.ch/MyQV/gla12997_129.jpg
My Dash Plate should be back from Kinkos this afternoon.... For my Miura S it will read "ONE OF A FEW"
Mine just has an old Blaupunkt 8-track that Modena Racing installed that duplicates the crappy sound quality of the day Joe www.joesackey.com

The car has certainly more to it than just that, and as for the "last" Miura title it can be pulled and pushed into any given direction, such was the accuracy of the records at the time and the spotless modus operandi of the factory

Quite possibly since it is the factory's own roving ambassador (5092). However, this image was taken in Italy on the occasion of one of the Miura' 40th anniversary celebrations. 5006 and 5102 are the other SVs in the image... Joe www.joesackey.com
