    I was negotiating the purchase of a nice '99 355 spider out in San Luis Obispo, Ca. when the car got stolen off the dealer's lot and wrecked. I imagine the dealer would be happy to sell it to someone who needs a parts car or wants a huge project!

    I went down there to see this car. (salv... 355)
    ,,, these guys were blown away.. ha ha.

    They were asking me questions, , ,
    because they had not taken delivery yet,,,, or,,, even seen the car. (wink)
    Questions like, "How did you know we were getting a Ferrari, ,, on Monday?" (smile)
    I said,
    Because I know people who have Ferrari,,, and I have one two.

    Ian didn't even have an asking price yet.
    (I will take pictures on Monday.)

    It had California Black license plates.
    (i didn't take a pic of that, for obvious reasons.)

    Were these Shelbys street legal?

    Maybe a Mustang frame, fiberglass body.

    I would think they are legal because of their age (I also believe I remember seeing one with a plate) but obviously someone more knowledgeable in the subject would know for certain. If you still have access to it check the S/N but if it is real CSX2287 would be my best guess.
