I really like that TR style, '58 right? I like them alot more than the pontoon fendered cars. How much are they going for and is there a link to the auctions?

The bottom car is a Bimbo Racer made in Torino Italy in 1957. it was over $450.00 when it was new in 1957. One that was in about the same condition as the one in the picture sold for $11,500 at Monterey this weekend.

I have a Bimbo racer being restored right now...

Sorry, I am not that computer savvy to put links in my post. But if you go to Ebay Motors, Ferrari-other, keep scrolling, you will see these vehicles.

Geg Jones is the Maestro of recreations, his GTOs and TRs are legendary albeit fakes. The TR on Ebay is a Greg Jones car. Honestly, they are not worth anywhere near what some fools pay for them, however, I'm still glad there are artists who spend time building them. I had a Beck Porsche 550 spyder that was a fun car but that's because I paid $15k for it and used it like a toy.

I bought mine for $13k 4 years ago. I sold it for $21k. I put $100 into it. The guy who bought it put $9k more into it (authentic Porsche appearance stuff) and sold it on Ebay last month for $25k. I'd say a nice enough driver has a $20k selling price. They are fun toys for nice days and that's as far as it goes - really light, 5 gallon gas tank, smells of a VW, brakes are a little weak and the shifter was a little vague; all of that is just like the real thing. You have to deal the attention it gets, both good and bad - equally bothersome to me. The Beck was worth every penny. After I sold it, I was thinking of a Cobra Daytona replica but never seemed to get there.
