I have had my seat fixed a couple of times. It would go forward but not backward. Well, today I found an answer. Since I live in California, I must have the beast smoged every other year. This year it needed it. I took it to the Smog place. Sadly, I had to allow the tech to drive my thing if only a few feet. The idiot moved my seat forward. Nuts!!! I could not sit in it. The seat was too far forward. What I did was to slap the back of the seat a couple of times. Low and behold, the seat than moved back. Oh, joy. If any have the problem of the power seat not moving backwards, try tapping the back of the seat. The sensor broke loose and aloud it to move. Hurray. 12 cylinders or walk
Percussive maintenance... I use it all the time and on ALL kinds of things. Even works with electronic things.... Sometimes!
One of the engineering professors at Wisconsin-Madison once told me: "If you are going to be an engineer, you need to learn correct terminology. It's not slaping it, or hitting it or hammering it. It is called "Impact Adjustment"". Alberto
