I have verizon, and i like them. I have never had a call drop because of them the entire time. the only thing i don't like is no sim cards (lame). So i am kind of stuck with what they have to offer. Anyways my contract runs out in May and was wondering what a good phone is? I have a rzr, but, i am getting sick of flip phones as they start to wear and tear. I was thinking something li ke a blackberry, or their touch phone. i would really prefer a 1 piece phone but if you know of something that is better let me know. Thanks for the help!

I've the touch phone (LG voyager). I wanted something small, cool and multi-functional. This has phone, internet, mp3, navigation, tv. I also have verizon and it was $15 to add this on vs. $70 to switch to ATT for i-phone.

    pros-
    fairly small
super easy to text due to flip open qwerty keyboard
?fairly good network (no experience w/other cell-internet to compare)
    my first mp3, works okay

have never used the navigation and tried out the TV when free but not worth the $ for my purposes to keep.

    cons-
'touch' kind of clunky, it should vibrate when you hit the function, sometimes it does vibrate but nothing happens
hate the internet functionality. may be 'faster' network but navigating pages is terrible. very disappointed in this and will probably end up switching to i-phone when contract up.
camera only 2.0 MPix, no flash
verizon music selection not extensive, but supposedly you can convert other formats to play on their phones

Nice, i was curious about that phone. It looks cool. I usually don't use my phone for anything other then a phone or quick camera, unless i would get internet or t.v. for free like you said, I don't think it is worth it either. I guess i just need to go down their and see if i can try out a couple of their display phones, and see what i like.
    Thanks for your help btw!

Hang on for a bit and get a 32gig, 3G iPhone... That is what I am waiting for... I have one of the first Razers and I really like the phone, but would like to have an iPhone now instead since I am such a crazy huge Apple fanatic.

    Best,
    James

A guy here at work had the Touch for a week. He took it back and got a Blackberry Pearl. Better phone and better interface in his opinion.

I have had my Pearl for about a month now (different carrier) and love it. In addition to all the stuff it does it's a really good cell phone. Took me a while to figure out a few things but I've just about got it how I want it.

I also have verizon, and i have the enV phone. I like it alot, and it's alot like the Voyager, but without the touch screen. I went to look at a voyager just because i was curious, the salesman said that I should just wait for the next version of the voyage, they still have to work some of the kinks out. The enV has the flip keyboard also, and is smaller than the voyager, so it works out well for me.

That actually makes me feel a bit better, i haven't looked at new phones yet and won't for another couple of weeks. But i was getting worried that the rzr was the best thing for VZ. I was seriously liking the pearl as well, but until you posted wasn't so sure about it.

I haven't seen the enV, yet but i'll keep my options open. having the flip up keyboard isn't such a big deal as having a phone that needs to get me t hrough the next 2-3 years of school or until my plan is up.

I have had the Samsung i760 and love it. It's great for what I do. I stream music on it via the net, access any file on my home network remotely, I even remote into my desktop at home and use my PC if I need to get on it with my phone when I'm out on the run.

My only complaint is the touchscreen isn't as good as my last pda phone (Samsung i700). It's soft and I am used to it being more solid...just a personal preference. Otherwise its fast overall and works great teathered to a laptop to use the broadband.

I got it on day2 (wasn't about to line up for it!) and concur 100%.

As to waiting for the 3G version - Who knows when it will appear? If you're "normally" within range of wi-fi don't bother waiting IMHO.

    Cheers,
    Ian
PS - *No* learning curve with the thing either - It doesn't take you days to figure out - Honest :)

Go with the IPhone man i have had mine for 3 weeks now and love it. Why i didn't wait for the 3g version is because of 3g will eat the battery faster then you can be leave

Just got a Teo 680 and love it. Liked the Pearl, but heard too much on how its a bit complicated to figure out things so I stayed away from it.

    Source, please?

While we know a 3G iPhone is certainly coming, I haven't heard anything to say when it might get here.

I was going to get it, but decided to wait until the next gen. You can easily use your own mp3's as ringtones. Either find websites that have 30 second clips and are savable as mp3's, or edit your own songs.

I have the Venus and I like it overall. However, recently it's become rather slow from pressing a button to answering a call. But nothing to have me trade it in. I do like my battery life though.
