Yes, I am into the Packards but the full classics. Was published in Motor Trend with a 1931 Super 8 long wheelbase sedan a long time ago. Did the article and the photos. Was good friends with the Art Director, Larry Crane, so he gave it the certerspread in the issue. Couple of years ago found out the car is now in Palos Verdes still unrestored.

Also back when, went between Phil Hill's house and the old Hill & Vaughn restoration shop in Santa Monica in Phil's 1912 Model 30. Phil was doing clutchless shifting and made the exhausts open - pedal on the floor.

You should see if you can find Auto Restorer magazine. One of the ongoing articles is the "resto mod/rod" of a '46 Packard businessmans coupe.

    Flathead lover? You betcha.

my 1951 Merc has its flathead decked out with Offy heads, dual 97's on an Offy intake, Fenton headers, Smithy's and a mild cam.

    GREAT engine.

    Been running flatheads for years.

Does he need parts? I pulled a 327 straight-8 out of a derelict '52. The previous owner has at least one more engine for sale and parts from 2 cars. What do you need?

We are actually parting out a spare car lol. Luckily he started with a complete car, now it is just repro parts like brakes that came from the Packard Club. as for motors, you can't give them away.

What a crime. If I lived closer, I'd love to have another straight-8.

Mine is a V12, 895 cubic inches mostly aluminum, twin carbs, twin ignition, and soon to be twin supercharged about 500hp.
