Hello, First of all i would like to say that i've searched and the only topic that came up was this : http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=133725&highlight=F430+maintainance I would like to buy a F430 F1 in the near future but i've kept hearing some rather hard to belive stories about the maintainance costs. For example - Clutch = 15.000$ and you need to change it each 10.000miles. So, i made this account and i hope i will hear some real numbers from F430 owners. It's not that i can't afford the costs but i just find it very hard to belive that they are that high. I knew that F430 on a regular service the cost is ~2000$ and on a major one around 6000$ (Rather normal costs IMHO since i'm paying 1500$ on my SL55 on regular service). I never heard about changing the clutch at each 10.000 miles or that it costs that much. Thank you and please forgive me if this kind of topic was before.
$15,000 on a clutch, no way. I have a manual 6 speed and the dealer says in the around $5,000 for everything done. The clutch will last for a long time, it all depends on how you drive it, but if driven properly and not hard it might easily last over 20,000 miles. Do searches in the archives as there is tons of info to be found. The major service is far cheaper than the 360 as no belts but chain driven.
I have 17K miles on my F1 430 and am no where near needing a new clutch. If driven properly it will last a long time. Also, welcome to F Chat!
There is no maintenance costs above any normal car. Maybe upward of 100k miles, you'll spend something. Just keep the oil changed, you be fine. There is no 'MAJOR' service, there are no timing belts. Just buy it already. On my second one and am driving the wheels off this one with no worries.
