Thanks Yes, I saw him, and I think its a spectators Ferrari may be ? But I am surprised with this serial number 2147 because in book Doug Nye and Pietro carrieri, it is 2119, with the white lips, the same car at Goodwood in august 61, with Mike Parkes. ?
Mike Parkes drove both cars in 1961. This is the 1961 year for both cars when in England and owned by Ronnie Hoare, the Ferrari importer. Copyright from Doug Nye's The Colonel's Ferraris. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks "Boudewijn" Excuses me for the inversion of serial number 2147 vs 2417, just one touch of dyslexia ! Fw: thanks "Aardy" I thought not, it's so amazing for this race.
Time for more photos! This thread had slipped back to page two, and that hasn't happened in a while. Gary

According to his autobiography he had driven the Sperimentale to fourth at Daytona on 11th February 1962, and had driven the GTO prototype in testing at Monza on 8th September 1961, prior to the Italain GP. He drove the NART TR250/61 at Sebring as he found that the 268 had 'fabulous handling' but no power, lapping at 3.26 in practise, compared to 3.17 for the TR and 3.12 in the race. Paul M

So, the "old Master" finally met the person who was responsible for his kidnapping in Cuba 1958! Ciao! Walter
Yes, and from an anecdote passed on by a celebrated guest at a Ferrari Owners Club meeting in Los Angeles so many years ago, we should all arrange to be kidnapped in the same fashion!
