Massa performed like a good #2 for a change. He picked up valuable points for the team. For a moment there, I thought Rubens was back with the team
+1 Ted, when Massa does a good support job, everything runs smooth, it is when he starts complaining about how he should have been on Pole or Won when he didn't is where the problem starts.
I'm glad he didn't try anything stupid to get past Kimi and that he didn't crack under the pressure of Lewis following him the whole race.
What problem? Considering how close the field is today and that overtaking is almost impossible on most tracks and certainly on this one, coming second is a very good result. Massa is still one of the best qualifiers which makes him a good bet for poles and therefor race victories. He's closed right up with Lewis and Robert and not far off Kimi. Only race four, anything can still happen, allthough it does seem that Ferrari has the upper hand. Which is good
You dodged another bullet Ted. If he doesn't win the next race either, then I can almost smell your 10k.
Massa was drive a very nice race 2day. FP have a really nice start, and I think that some other driver was in front of him he will attack him, but he decide to not go on only b'cause that guy was his team mate. After 1st and 2nd GP he came more focused, and till now I think he adopted on drive without TC.
Unfortunately that's a bad assessment, I think it was the last race with Felipe cut right across the track at the start to squeeze in Kimi like MS was famous for doing, and I'm pretty sure Kimi was his team mate.
I was a bit surprised at the pit sequence. From the opening segment and the qual times, I'd have thought Felipe was carrying more fuel than Kimi. I guess I just don't understand how Ferrari assigns pit strategy choices between their drivers. But Ferrari 1-2, no other team got two cars into the points, and nobody got seriously hurt. It doesn't get much better than this.
Forza Massa. don't forget, Massa was on his 2nd race using the same engine. he probably got instructions from the team not to push it to the max.
LOL I was waiting for that! I will happily pay you each a C-note from my 10K... However I would hasten to point out that Renault appears to be on an upward trajectory and Massa is...well, Massa
Renault will not improve this season, asslondo was very light on fuel - and his car blew up on lap 34. I think you are going to see Ferrari pull away and I am afraid it is going to be another Ferrari dominated season - I am a hardened Ferrari fan but it is nice to see some fierce competition. IMHO this is what I see coming, Ferrari will win the constructer easily with Kimi, and Massa 1 and 2 for driver with Hamilton in 3rd. I hope I am very wrong and it's a fierce battle all year with Ferrari winning in Brazil with Massa taking pole and 1st to win his first drivers but I don't think that will happen - but WHO thought Kimi would win last year? Forza FERRARI Andrew
1. It is Alonso, not asslondo. If you want to have your opinions taken seriously, you might want to start by avoiding the sophomoric lampooning. 2. How much lighter do you think Alonso was? He stopped within a couple of laps of Massa. He may have been a bit lighter but not two seconds lighter. Furhtermore, did you even notice that Piquet also made it to Q3? Piquet Jr. may well be the worst drive ron the current grid. Ther eis no way he wrestled teh Renault to the top 10 unless that car made enormous improvements. He si simply not that good a driver. 3. He lost an engine. Wow...you never see that in f1... I think there is less competition for Ferrari this year than last. McLaren is definitely missing something and BMW has made strides but is not yet a consistent threat. I think Ferrari's edge this year is great than last year's. Me, for one. Andreas for another. Check last year's posts.
