Tarek, any chance you could prise yourself out of the Scuderia at some stage and take a picture of the under door moulding in Alcantara? I think every Scuderia I have seen does not have this option so be interested to see how it looks with it. I guess the benefit of not having it is you can clean with a damp cloth but the naked metal looks a bit crappy I wonder.
You're a star, thanks and no hurry with it, just when you are taking the other pics maybe throw in a couple of this area if you can.

Thanks Tarek - it has been interesting to follow your build, etc. My Scuderia will be rather close in all respects to yours with one (interesting) twist - Stay tuned

Did I miss something or are we still waiting for Tarek to post a "first driving impressions" as well as real daytime photos?? I just caught him posting on another thread, "HELP WITH FERRARI PLEASE", somebody wanting to know if a 360 can be a daily driver. WTF??? Tarek, your fans are waiting!!! No more posting til you get back to us!!!

    >>>Why do you want to buy a 360? If you test drive one you will know it's capabilities and you'll immediately find out if it suits you as a daily driver or not. Many here use them as daily drivers and many others only use them on weekends when the weather permits. Therefore, I suggest you test drive one. Tarek.<<<

    Hi Tarek,
It looks like you have become the Man of the Hour and the SCUD authority as you have what we don't have yet. I have just specked out my Scud but I have time until the build starts late this fall. I have ordered: Rosso Scuderia, Standard Tech Frabric trim with red tech inserts and headliner and red stitch. Back wall and shelf tech as well. I was told not to add Alcantara to the back wall and shelf if the seats and trim are going to be tech, do you agree. I am also worried that I am spending this amount of money on a nylon interior. My dealer is brand new and does not have samples of the cloth available if you are wondering.
I am planning to try and catch the show car when it gets back to NYC but do you know if there is one in a Middle East showroom as I am in Dubai all the time.
    Thanks,
    Zubin

You know Zubin I have been organising/deciding on my spec for the last 3 months. Until two days ago I was sure I was going to go with the technical fabric too. I have seen a couple of photos recently of the techincal fabric and I was really not so impressed with the look of it. I am sure it is more durable than the Alcantara but I suppose the look is important as well as the durability. I have finally changed my mind and I am now going to go with the Alcantara - it just seems to look more rich. I don't want to put you off as at the end of the day it's a great car, but you might want to have a look at some photos on here before you make a decision. The interior of Tarek's car was the final confirmation for me - Alcantara looks better IMHO. As I said not trying to put you off but I think you should try to see the Technical Fabri before you make a decision. Cheers. Mark

Thanks very much for you input Mark. I know exactly what you are saying, the look is that much better. I hear the show car in the NY showroom has the tech fabric so I still might have to make it over.

I will move this to a new thread as I see there is a Scuderia Interior thread in action.
    Thanks again Mark.

What bothered me about the cosmetics of the standard interior was the mixture of tech fabric and alcantara on the back wall. I don't think it looks that great. In the end I went all alcantara in my spec. Alcantara does tend to "pill" as it wears. It looks terrible since the suede-like texture is lost. However, this only seems to be a problem where your butt meets the seat so it's not an issue at all for the scud.

My dear friends...........I promise to post more pictures and impressions very soon. Sorry for being late, but I'm in Greece at the moment and will return to Cairo soon. She also needs to get a bra fitted before driven hard and that's going to be fitted next week.

    Hi Zubin,

I saw the technical fabric............it's not very impressive. Looks like black colored jeans, but in a polyester fabric, very industrial look. Not "rich" enough if you know what I mean. Might be more durable than Alcantara though. I went with black Alcantara and I am very pleased I did. It looks far more superior than the technical fabric and very "rich" and elegant.
If you are going for tech. seats, I also wouldn't do the rear wall in Alcantara......the interior can look very busy with four different materials, tech., Alcantara, the two-layer fabric and CF.

Go with Alcantara seats and interior........you won't regret it.

    Best regards,

    Tarek

    Hi Tarek-
I have some driving questions about Egypt. BTW I visited Egypt as a boy for 2 weeks traveling from Alexandria to Aswan. I really enjoyed the sights and experience.
Are Egyptian Ferrari's Euro spec or US spec cars? I have heard that Dubai cars are US spec.
Is the speedo in KPH or MPH?
Finally, how are the roads in Egypt? How fast can one legally drive?
