I agree with you in all points. We should just make sure we don't keep rubbing our butts too hard against the seat bolsters coming in and getting out of the car.

 

Hi ...........I'm glad you enjoyed Egypt, you seem to have covered it all.

Till 2007 our Ferraris were Euro spec. Starting 2008 our Ferraris have become Middle East spec.......the VIN number now contains the designation letter "T" which stands for Middle East. Ferraris imported into Dubai will have the same letter "T" in the VIN. A US-model Ferrari would have an "A" instead. A Euro spec Ferrari would have the letter "B" which my 2007 F430 has. The speed in both my Ferraris is in KPH.

Roads in Egypt aren't the greatest......you got to watch for potholes driving around the city. We've got a few acceptable highways though which are fun to drive. I plan on taking the Scud to Europe to really enjoy driving her on decent roads with beautiful scenery.

 

got any routes in mind?

you may even cross paths with US drivers taking European delivery on their German sedans

 

Not yet.......I plan to roam all over Europe this summer.

If anyone spots a Grigio Silverstone Scud with Egyptian plates anywhere in Europe, just wave or leave me a note.......it'll be me and I'll know you're a Fchatter .

I will go with the Alcantara interior.

 

I was headed towards all Alcantara - centre seat panels and headliner too. I decided to go for stock in the end. I intend to keep the car for a while and Alcantara is simply not very durable IMO. I have had many Alcantara interiors and love them in the beginning but not so much later. I think the standard interior suits the personality of the 430S

 

AHHGH! Now I have doubt again! I think I will make a trip to NY to see the show car.

 

My car will be in white. I ordered the all-black standard interior and I am now super happy with that decision after looking at several options carefully. I will use the car on drives in China and it can get quite dirty so I need something hard wearing. Good luck on your choice - I am sure that you will end up with perfection in your eyes and that is all that matters!

 

So Tarek, it's a new Middle East spec but it still has the EU certificate of conformity - that's a really strange thing for Ferrari to do isn't it?
