Just like the title says. I have been chasing a few shadows, so I thought I would ask here.

Hey Dino, seriously you should probably contact someone like Will Stone at Gregor Fiskens in London. They deal in the very rarified air of GTO's and NART Spiders etc and if there is one for sale they will know.
Nick Soprano back east has a 330GTO which has been offered around from time to time but I don't know what the current status is.
Tillack in S.Cal is another guy who would know of any for sale and Ed Yankowski at Putnam has one on his books. He's worth a call. I don't have all of these phone numbers handy but I use Google when I need to find these guys.

This is hardly the place to be advertising you are in the market for a GTO. When those cars do change hands, it's pretty secretive to whom they are sold to and where they are going. Definitely not a car anyone will need to advertise for sale either.

If I had to guess how a gto transaction would take place, I would guess the current owner would make it known to maybe one or two people in the business that they would be willing to part with their beloved gto for a handsome price. Those one or two people who were entrusted with this highly valuable information would then call one of their beloved clients whom they know without a doubt would be interested and then work out a transaction. Someone else might find out this took place months later when inquiring the whereabouts of serial number XXXX, and even then finding out who the actual owner is can be a mystery in which a very select few are privy to.

These things seem to be pretty secretive when they are not on the auction block. Rightfully so.

He has like, three or four F40s to trade in.......

 

i was at the Ferrari Challenge at Road Atlanta three weeks ago, and there was a right hand drive GTO there rumoured to be for sale for 20 million dollars. I saw it on the track doing practice laps then in the Vintage Ferrari challenge group with the disc brake cars. Someone said Ron Shirley, but then I may be totally wrong.

 

So far as i have heard, there are two GTO's currently being offered on the market. One is at 19 mil. euros and the other is at 25 mil. euros. Seems to be crazy money ( even all things being considered), but you can always ask.

Hey Mr.Niles was reading a article in the recent Road & Track about Lee Harington's 250 GT Competizione Berlineta and it mentioned you but i'm sure you know that already, just had to say it's always interesting to hear about one of our members.

As far as I know, Viollati (sp? sorry) has had his the longest. I too normally would not think he woud be inclinded to part with it, but $ 40,000,000 US could be an aweful lot of persusion.

 

You must be pulling my leg. What is the def. of a player anyway. Isn't that synonymous with b-s artist?
