To all you Obsessed Owners (including myself) Do you consider the birthday of your car: When it was completed at the factory, or when you recieved it? I consider it on the day I recieve it.
And when would that date be for you?

    April 27th, 1987.

I bought her used, so I've got to go with the day Enzo kissed her and rolled her onto a boat.

When the Ferrari turns 21, can it vote? ;)

(Politicians are already trying to get cars to drink alcohol -- even underaged cars.)

I consider the day the keys were handed over as the birthday.

Such is the case with my 10th Anniversary Accord (which my youngest daughter insists upon it having a birthday): August 30, 1993, 'born' at McDavid Honda in Houston.

Not as dramatic or awe-inspiring as an F-car being delivered for certain, but kids have to win some of the battles against their parents.

The car was converted when it was imported to the US, right...? If so, there's a sticker somewhere with a date of production.

I purchased my Boxer July 28,1985. It is a '83 converted in '85. I always look at "our" anniversary date as July 28, But have no idea on the birthdate. ( man, if my wife reads this she'll think i'm WACKED!)

I'd consider the production date the birthday.

When it was imported would be like the anniversary of it being circumcised. ;)

    Thanks Carbon.

Sorry, but I don't have the sticker. My car was one of the infamous repainted in resale red cars*. Original color was Rosso Bordeaux (20-R-351). Was repainted sometime in the seventies to a red/black boxer scheme (I assume the red was originally rosso corsa, but it's faded, so actually looks like Rosso Scuderia).

*The 308 GT4's did not sell well when they were released. There were a few dealers, to my understanding, that repainted them in the resale red/black boxer scheme at around the same time that the cars were rebadged from Dino's to Ferrari's.

My VIP (vehicle identification passport) says my 599 rolled off the line June 15th/07. Dealer received Aug.18. Drove it home 19th. I guess my baby has 3 birthdays. Tough getting much done in July. I was told to add 2-3 extra weeks delivery time during Italys biggest summer vacation month. Don't know how long it sat on a pier waiting for a boat. Or how long it took to get to its port of departure let alone its port of arrival.
