I'm about to place an order for rear glass. If anyone need one please let me know immediately.

Non heated is $1190.00 + 100.00 crating + shipping from St.Petersburg, FL 33712. (Available to ship to my shop from Europe in 1-3 weeks)
Heated is $1365.00 + 100.00 crating + shipping from St.Petersburg, FL 33712. (Available to ship to my shop from Europe in 3-4 weeks)

Payment (short of crating and shipping from my shop) is going to be due upon placing the order, and please be quick because i'd rather place only one order, and not delay it too much. At the risk of repeating myself, please act quickly, pretty please with sugar on top.

    Thanks,

    seb

    Hi Seb

Although I'm hoping that I won't need to order from you, I wonder if you could help ease my stress-level at the moment. I'm having my 365 completely repainted and that will involve removing all the glass. The paint-shop insist that this will be at my risk - of course they would wouldn't they. They will be asking a specialist windshield business to do the work so I'm hoping that they will know what they're doing!
I'm therefore curous to know if you are ordering rear glass because of damage during removal/repaint or for other reasons. Is there a 'trick' to getting the glass out without damage ?
I'm guessing that mine will be the first classic Ferrari that the 'specialist' firm will have ever done...so you can see why I'm getting a bit panicky.
But tell it to me straight, I like to know the odds before the cards are dealt.

    Thanks

    Mike

Wow! That is a great price. Is this factory glass or a reproduction? Saftey glass? Laminated? DOT approved?

Mine was delaminating, but nevertheless our objective was to save the trim, and that's all we accomplished. The glass guy wouldn't touch it until i released him of all liability. Why don't you have your paint guy just dig out the sealant between the trim & body work, and paint then reseal? I'm no paint specialist, but i would avoid ripping the glass out at all cost. My 2 cents.

They call themselves an OEM supplier, for whatever that's worth. But realistically Dave, I've had alot of feelers out there for quite sometime, that came up dry, so at this point this is by far the best option. It is my guesstimation they might be a common supplier to the usual suspects. I'll get from them the skinny on your specific questions?

I know you're right Seb, they (another outfit up country) cracked the rear windshield on the 400i trying to get it out so bang goes my spare. I just called my paint guy at home (its late here but I needed an answer) and he said 'relax', that his specialist crew removed the glass of a Dino a couple of years ago without problems. Maybe the Dino was easier to work with, I don't know but since its the weekend now and I don't need to make a firm decision until Monday let's see what this thread turns up by way of experience, good or bad. The paintshop give a written guarantee of their work for 3 years, although I didn't ask, I'm hoping that this will still apply even if they don't take out the glass and therefore have the chance to inspect all around the frame for signs of rust ????
If I tell them to just dig out the sealant will that also expose any latent corrosion problems ?
What's your deadline on ordering ?

Disregard the offer, it was quoted in Euros, so that the resulting price would be approx. (1190Euros = $1827.00 and 1365Euros = $2095.00). I might be able to do better on volume, but we'll have to wait for orders to find out. Sorry about the confusion.
