    I’m considering selling my Maranello for a Barchetta and I have two questions. First I’m just over 6’ 2” and I was wondering whether the lowered windscreen obstructs the forward view, and the second question is, does the removal of the roof create a lot of cowl shake, or other body flex beyond the 550?

    Stan the car was reinforced to avoid cowl shake and the windscreen was reinforced as well with a steel tube.The elimination of the top offsets the heavy reinforcement so the comparison weight is almost exactly the same as the Maranello. The question about the windscreen in your eye site is a good one and being 5'9" I couldnt tell you for sure. The cockpit is generous in space so that part wont be an issue.Where are you located? Maybe I can let you sit or drive in mine. Jon in Delaware

    Find one and sit in it. I'm 6'4", and I certainly noticed the windshield header bar right in my view. I didn't drive it, so maybe I would get used to it, but it wasn't promising.

    Stan, I was just there today..but with the Noble M-12. Could meet there on a Saturday after our Cars and coffee. send me a PM. Saturday after next may be an option as I am out of town next Saturday. jon

    No doubt we will run into one another soon. Are you a member of FCA? If so are you going to the Reading concourse? My Barchetta will be in the concourse. Are you going to Le Bella Machina in the Poconos? My Barchetta will be in the concourse.
    Are you going to the Pittsburg Vintage Grand Prix? My Barchetta will be in the concourse. Or if none of the above I make it to about 1/2 of the Saturday Cars and Coffee events at Rt 202 and Dillworthtown Rd. Hope to see you soon. Jon

    What should one pay for a low mileage(2k) Barchetta these days?
