Your going to chew me out a bit more here but there was an explanation sheet that I forgot to photograph which had some information on it's history. From memory (only good for 2 sec) it was an early car original RHD and could have been a dispaly vehicle in England at an auto show. Listen I'm going to move to the back of the room now and quietly walk out the door!

    The location/event

quote "The David Hack Classic Car Meet is held at the Aerotec Hangar Toowoomba, home of the famous Zuccoli Aircraft Collection. The Meet brings together an exotic mix of classic, vintage and modern cars, historical trucks and military vehicles as well as a fly-in. Display of one of the country's finest collections of warbirds. See some of these magnificent aircrafts in action during the day with joyrides and adventure flights available.

Members of the Rotary Club of Toowoomba North Incorporated look forward to your participation and invite you to stay until the conclusion of the event for the benefit and enjoyment of the paying public. Monies raised on the day are directed to the Leukaemia Foundation, Blue Care and other Charities."

Sorry I was more interested in getting my Ghibli 2 next to it so I could get a shot with the 2 cars together, but I was unhappy with the light and thought I'd come back later in the afternoon and forgot.

"Auto, Motor and Sport" took in 1968 a Ghibli on the German Autobahn and clocked it at a shocking 274 km/h! Of course it had a "Motore speciale" fitted - only for press-cars! Unfortunately I don`t know the VIN of this quite famous Ghibli and I assume its a fake-plate from a different car!
This test became famous in Germany as it has some very nice high-speed photos also on normal roads. The cover-shot for AMS was given to the magazine of The German Maserati Club for one of their issues in 2002. This color of this Ghibli also attracted some people to re-paint their cars in that color when under restoration.

..hmmm, don`t know. This green on the cover is more "yellow"-green (but note lime!). . Don`t know if the color(s) on your photo are correct replicated.

    Ciao!

That car Ghibli 49.1934 a US car with Euro spec motor. It was a very low mileage orginal car with factory luggage still wrapped in plastic. It sold this Jan. at Cavallino for 150k US.

The green Ghibli posted above at a concours is #1934. It was bought by a respected Ferrari historian during Cavallino Classic this January and 10 seconds later I went with him in the Everglades to photograph the car! It has factory luggage and is a jewel.

    Best regards,

    Marc
