FChatters at VIR Skip Barber Race Series

Nice to see WCH and Dr. Who at the SBRS at VIR today. Boatloads of fun up there!

 

Dale, how'd ya do?

 

I'll have more later when I have time, but my initial impression is how aggressive you have to drive to finish last!

Actually, everything was in line with my expectations for my first race ever, at a track that I had never seen before. I didn't kill myself. I didn't kill anybody else. I didn't have to write a $5,000 check for totaling the car. Best of all, I lost my cherry. (I don't know why so many women complain about this. It didn't hurt at all.)

I really want to thank Peter for his help. Without his expertise, I would have probably driven the track backwards and not realized it!

PS It was great meeting WCH.

 

Great to see both Lolaman and Dr. Who! No rain despite the predictions. After the races, Dr. Who and I were pulled from our cars, hoisted onto the shoulders of wildly cheering mechanics and instructors and immediately inducted into the SBRS Hall of Fame. I'll leave the rest of the event report to Dale ... as long as he doesn't mention the minor mechanical issue I had ....

 

Sounds like you guys had fun, but, Dale, that's a cryptic response if I ever read one.

I hope you were pleased with your progress! Peter is awesome--and has wicked local knowledge, to boot.
