It was nice but I took no pictures, Birdcage showcar was way cool..... Auction seemed kind of sleepy, except for the Swiss car and the blue chippers, even the Bugattis didn't make the estimates.....one Ferrari I remember, not many. Good deals on American muscle, only the Dodges held firm there...
Here are some of my pictures... http://s282.photobucket.com/albums/kk264/Speedin08/Keels%20and%20Wheels%2008/
I took a lot of pictures and am trying to wade through them, Carolyn took about 400. It was a great show! An incredible amount of diverse vehicles. Massive brass era cars to a BMW Isetta. Concept cars, open wheel cars, American muscle, classic cars from the 50's on up, exotics of all types. And of course the boats, what a gorgeous array of wooden boats and yachts. We really had a good time. Made at least three complete trips around the concours and saw something new each time we toured the grounds I will post some pictures later.
Here are a few.... . Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hello to the Lone Star state! Do you know if the Monteverdi Hai sold and if so for how much and who bought it? Thanks very much in advance. Marc
I heard that the car sold somewhere around $700k, which was a lot lower than the estimated minimum of $1.2MM. Such is the life of no reserve. Dale
You see I was bidding on 3 different cars and I thought the prices were astronomically high. As an example; an MG-B for $33,000 (pure insanity), or a TR3 for $40,700 , how about a salvage title 400i automatic for $35,200.
