I started to mod by 348..new mats, stainless steel pedals, shifter and speedo rings.....The interior looks cool except for my sticky HVAC panel..I would like to replace it with carbon fiber. anyone here with 348 carbon fiber interior? do you recommend it? I checked the prices and its over 900..wow!
Also, I would like to upgrade my exhaust..Maybe a Tubi but its going to cost $6k with installation..its it worth it?

I have cleaned all the sticky from my vents and center console and think that is just fine given the cost of carbon fiber and my indifference to what they cost and add to the looks of the interior. I have done the pedals and think they add a bit of an improvement to both pedal feel and look. The tubi is why I love to have the roof panel off the car. I think it is the single best modification that adds to the enjoyment of owning the car, every time you hit the ignition switch and then hit the road.

I think they make a nice touch, but I would only do it on a satin black refridg. On any other color it just looks a little austintatious.

    +1

X-ost sounds better and is cheaper. I can't wait to get the one for my new 456M which should be here this week. My 355 sounds better than a 430.

I have a capristo 2 on mine. From what I gather from talking to a few others the cappy has more of a "scream" at high RPM.
I picked up hyperflow cats at the same time and really love the sound.

    It's loud though. Very loud.

Mike, the guy that installed it for me often asks if I've been busted yet because it really does scream at high RPM, and I do tend to use the entire RPM range. Even around town.

    :)

You can easily clean the panel with gas.

Makes the cloth all black and sh1tty but the panel will be nice.

Take the vents out and clean them also. The white rings will disappear, but you will notice when they are open anyway.

I used the oven cleaner technique that was recommended in a prior thread.

Just take the parts outside and use an aluminum pan to hold the parts and catch the spray. Let the cleaner do its thing, wear some nitrile gloves, then scrub off the goop after it has rested for a period of time. Have lots of rags, or paper towels available. After that I cleaned them off with mineral spirits and repainted with some semi gloss paint for plastics.
