LONDON, England (AP) -- Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa have taunted their rivals with talk of another one-two finish at the Turkish Grand Prix in Istanbul on Sunday.

Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen, left, and Felipe Massa have a lot to smile about after recent victories.

Ferrari dominated in Barcelona with a one-two finish that left Raikkonen top of the drivers' championship table and the team dominating the constructors' race.

Massa is also hunting his third consecutive victory in Turkey after winning there in 2006 and last season.

A confident Raikkonen said Ferrari had not been testing after their Barcelona success, but the same could not be said for the other teams.

"I bet our competitors have worked hard to be prepared as good as possible to beat us at Istanbul, but I'm not worried at all," Raikkonen said.

"I'm convinced Ferrari can be really strong there."

The Finn said the Istanbul circuit was similar to those in Malaysia and Bahrain, where Ferrari had also won.

"That makes us think we'll be competitive over the weekend."

He said Barcelona had been a "perfect week" for the team and they wanted to keep that "rhythm," with the goal another one-two finish.

His team-mate Massa was also feeling very confident.

The Brazilian said the Turkish Grand Prix held special personal significance as it was where -- in 2006 -- he scored his first Formula One win.

"I think we have a good car in the F2008 and I feel it can be quite strong this coming weekend... I want to record a hat-trick of Turkish victories."

Luca Baldisserri, Ferrari's team manager, said they wanted to continue the momentum generated by their three consecutive victories.

He said Raikkonen and Massa would be using cars with the same specifications bar the slotted nose that caused a stir in Barcelona.

"This is because the solution is much more efficient at medium to high downforce levels, whereas Turkey requires less downforce," Baldisserri said.

"The new nose worked very well but as we said when we gave its race debut in Barcelona, we would only use it at circuits where we deem it will bring us an advantage over a more conventional component."

Baldisserri said previous form indicated the track would suit Ferrari and particularly Massa.

Pretty stupid, if you ask me. Australia wasn't that long ago.

It is far too early to get complacent, especially with BMW and Renault showing improvement every race and McLaren sure to be competitive.

You do not have to be complacent to talk about a 1-2 finish.
Given recent performance, I would say hoping for anything less would be lack of ambitions.

I do not see anywhere that they say they expect an easy 1-2 finish or anything to that regard.

Talk of another 1-2 finish is different than saying they expect a 1-2 finish.

Kimi and Felipe are the only people to ever win the Turkish Grand Prix, to say that they are dominant here is an understatement. Ferrari 1-2

Rubbing someone's nose in it... Or just talking? I guess it depends on the person writing the story.

I didn't see any trash talk in this story; besides, one first has to understand what Kimi is saying before one can determine it is trash talk....

They sound overconfident but I don't really see taunting in their comments. Given how well the cars, team, and drivers are performing anything less than a 1-2 would be disappointing.

Another example of how F1 pundits are a bunch of hack morons.

They go to Kimi and say "you haven't tested, others have - aren't you nervous?". What's he going to say "Yep, we really screwed the pooch by not testing... we're probably going to lose the race now!". Of course not, he will say something PC like "thanks to the hard work of the team, we're confident in the car and are hoping for a strong finish here".

Then some reporter takes his sound bytes back to his hotel room and realizes that he's got nothing newsworthy to report at all. So, he cooks up a nice little recipe... 1% facts, 60% spin, 10% applied bias, 10% embellishment, 10% insinuation and 9% BS and BAM! (Emeril-like) what do you have? A great news story of how Kimi is taunting his rivals and displaying supreme confidence. Yep, *that* will whip the people who love to hate Ferrari into a a frothy lather!

    :)

I agree, it's stupid to tease/taunt about upcoming expected finishes. How many would-be baseball wannabes looked foolish trying the Babe Ruth point-to-where-the-homer-will-go move? But in this case, it's some dickweed chump of a reporter with nothing going on trying to create drama where there is none.
