Like an AA meting ok, my turn. I'm Mike and I was an observer for some time, I can say that still I am, but starting posting a bit... On the beginning I just wanted to have an access to some interesting photos, but I'm really starting to like that site ;] Hope y'all enjoy it as well Greetings from Poland
Hello all, My name is Matthew and I like cars I was born and raised in Alaska and I lived there until I was 18 when I moved down to Southern California. I try to go to Cars and Coffee as often as possible to see all the cars and I got to help out during the official "Ferrari Day" last year which was amazing!!! My plan right now is that I'm going to school for mechanical engineering so that I can one day park a Ferrari in my garage... Right now I work full time in insurance but am open for a better opportunity because the company is leaving So Cal... It would be cool to meet people from the board at Cars & Coffee or other meets! ~Matthew
Hello all, My name is Noel Johnson, I'm from Red Deer, Alberta. Canada. Although not a Ferreri owner it's racing history and mystique has made me a Ferrari lover. I am a car guy at heart, doing all of my playing with North American iron for the time being, but hope to one day build up my own personal Scuderia. I've been lurking for quite some time and have decided to join the fray. I hope to continue broadening my knowledge of all things Ferrari and ( because this board is certainly not short on smart business men/women) gleen as much business knowledge as is offered. Happy to be here. Thanks, Noel Johnson
I am a brand new owner, just got my 2000 360 Modena last month after many years of Pcars. I live in Florida so I get to drive it a lot and am really enjoying learning all I can about this incredible machine. Pic attached. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi I joined ferrarichat in September of 07 but did not make my first post until January 2008. I was in the market for the "right" first Ferrari since just before I joined but I did not want to be one of those guys who talks about "getting a Ferrari in 10+ years, maybe if things work out sort of...." No offense to anyone dreaming here....I have dreams of a Veyron!!! but will not likely post on a Veyron board until I am in the market . Anyway My first posts here were an intro and a price check on the car I ended up buying the next week. I found that by searching the forum and reading old posts I got all my questions answered (and then some!!!!) Thanks to all who have taught me much! Best Jason Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi all! I just joined up. I've been an enthusiast of sports and high-performance cars since I was about four or five years old. The first ferrari that I lusted after was a 512 BB. I intend to buy a 360 Modena, and then a 430. Realistically, it will be several years before I can comfortably afford a Ferrari. Till then, I'll be lurking here learning about these cars! Adrian
It's great that you help us all feel so welcomed. Thank you. My name is Kris. Born and raised in CA, currently the Bay Area, CA but I've been and lived in all the major cities. I've loved cars since I understood the concept of vehicles on wheels. My current favorites are the F430, Enzo, DB9, Veyron, and old school Countach. Of course I don't own any of these, but I would have to say I've had more than my fair share of being around these beautiful exotics and sitting inside them. Nearing my third decade, and I hear most will buy their first one between now and 50? Hope that holds true for me too! If you break this mold, then you're awesome. I hear stories of people putting these cars on their walls as decoration or taking the engine block and using it as a coffee table. Oh to have that kind of money laying around XD. Looking to add to the community and become more addicted in the process. ~K
Hi, I'm one of the few italians here i think, from Turin to be precise(Yes the FIAT's hometown) . I'm still a student. I joined this community because it's probably the biggest Ferrari owners community and probably the best place where to find informations about any Ferrari built. I just come here to read as Ferrari lover and dreamer. I don't think to have a lot to say. After this i have to say i've been a bit surprised by the nice people who write here.
Kris, Welcome! I was 50 years old before I got my 348...believe me... the wait was worth it. It's not that I had all the money laying around, but I knew what I wanted, and, eventually, went for it. Mike in Kuwait Mike in Kuwait
Reddol, Welcome... I, too, joined because of the quality of information, the people, and excellent discussion both technical and otherwise... Perhaps if you start making the rounds of old, unused warehouses and barns, you'll find and excellent example of the marque just needing a little tender love and care, and more likely, lots of time and effort... Hi everyone, I recently attended the cars & coffee meet in Scottsdale, so I thought I would join up. I am not a Ferrari owner, but my family's car audio store in Bryn Mawr, Pa has given me the opportunity to work on many exotics for radar detector installations and such.
Some folks don't want the rest of the world to know who, what and how many Ferrari's they own??!! Once it gets to this point, then the rest is history. Have any of you seen the yellow and blue Ferrari Superamerica that was featured in the 60th anniversary? Gorgeous car. It is windy and raining in Greeneville TN and weather doesn't permit pictures of anything but ducks.
My name is Jon and I am 18 years old. I love cars period. Does not matter if it's Italian, German, American etc. I would love to own a Ferrari(s) someday but until that day comes I shall suffice with my mom's Highlander =D I also love to work on cars, mostly sport compacts, such as EVOs, STIs, WRXs, SRT-4s etc. Sad how I work on all my friend's cars while I drive a SUV =*( But if anyone has any questions about engine, drivetrain, turbos, or electronics feel free to ask! Also, if you're in the Mid-Atlantic region and need help with installing something or fixing a problem, I'd be happy to help! I can install basically anything that's a bolt-on and that doesn't require fabrication and do tune-ups or maintenance. Jon
All right, you lured this lurker out from the shadows. I'm Steve from Alabama. Assuming things go as well as they should (knock on wood), I will be in the market for a Ferrari later this year. This site is remarkable; I've learned more than I thought possible from a chat forum. My approach to selection is careful and deliberate. No impulse buys. I even attended a Corvette show this weekend just to make sure there was nothing there for me. Answer: No. Like dating the girl next door, Corvettes are cheap and convenient, but they don't make my heart skip a beat. As for which Ferrari, that's much tougher. My initial impulse: the Testarossa. But then, well, I learned, mostly from you guys, that the 512TR is a better car, etc., and now, since refinement and reliability have entered the picture, I'm looking at 360 Modenas, the 456, and the 575 Maranello. Anyway, thanks for the free education in Italiano. More later.
Hi from NJ. Just joined the forum. My husband is the original owner of a 1985 308 and I want my own. Seriously looking. Maybe a 348.
Hello everyone!! My name is Michael, I live in a small town in Upper Michigan(U.S.A.). I have loved cars, all cars, ever since I was a young boy. Ferrari, Lamborghini(any exotic really), Chevrolet (Z06 Corvette), Chevy/GM musclecars, and streetrods/hotrods from the 1930's. I currently own a 2008 Z06 Corvette(because it's all I could afford). I work in a paper mill. We make paper for books and magazines. I have an overwhelming desire to constantly better myself. I want more than anything to find a different career so that I can afford to buy the car(s) and have the lifestyle I have loved and dreamed about my entire life. I am just very unsure about which direction to go. I have thought about going back to school but, being 37 years old, I sometimes think I am too old to start a new career and I should just stay where I am in my life. BUT, the other part of me does not want to be looking back on my life at 60 years old and wishing I would have at least tried. So, to all of the forum members here that have been or are in a similar situation, what are your recommendations?? What path did you take to get where you are today? Remember, I am 37 so, going to school for 10 years and starting a career at 47 or 48 is probably not the best idea? I appreciate any and all replies and input. I look forward to hearing from all of you. Sorry for rambling on. Thank you for your time Michael.
Lurker. Usually post on Rennlist, 928 section. Love 928s, had one once and plan to obtain another at some point. Greatly admire the untouchable beauty, grace, style, and raw performance of Italian exotics. Personally prefer the OCD / anal-rentive / perfectionist / ego-mania of German engineering (a few less inexplicable fires). Still have a soft spot in my heart for the high quality, unbeatable dollar-to-fun ratio, and pure zen of Japanese sportscars, ...and a soft spot in my head for brutal American V8 power. Also, I like to write. - Josh
hello all.............im must apologize first for creating another account and using that for quite sometime lurking around and learning but never posting......i finally grew up and decided to start posting..........i am John, I love my country and everything Ferrari stands for, and F1..thats about it for me
keep my 599 when my f430s comes in or trade the 599 back to the dealer. traded my F430 spider for the 599. thoughts.
I don't think that is a question anyone but yourself can answer. Would you drive both?, are you in the correct financial situation? Why would you get rid of the 599? Post some pictures when you have the chance also. I looked at your profile, seems like you have had quite the collection. Mind sharing some pictures of all the cars together(at least the ones you had at the same time)?
I think the only change from the profile is the aston is gone and a 911 twin turbo cab replaced it. red/black. I will get some pics up.
Hello fellow Ferrari nuts, My name is Steve and I live in northern Massachusetts. I'm an entrepreneur who's currently involved in a solid state lighting company.
