It is a fine car but it is not McLaren F1! The M F1 is the ULTIMATE street car! You must not have seen The Stig crash the crap out of a CCX on Top Gear awhile back (might have been the end of last season)...

Yeah, but then K'segg put a wing on it and the Stig whooped the tracks butt with it. It really is an amazing machine. Funny to see the Subaru dealership right across the street.

He did crash it but he was also pushing it to it's very limit which is not something anyone that is not a professional racing driver should do with a car like this.

Kudos to Christian V Koenigsegg in making a high-performance supercar. Somehow after all these years I still don't like (read : hate) the car's look. very kit-carish. I think they need to higher a better designer.

I personally dont think the McLaren F1 looks better then the CCX, and if its performance your after the CCX is also better. In no way does it compete with the legacy of the F1 being the fastest road car for 10 years and for it just being a marvel and lightyears ahead of everything else, but I prefer the CCX.

Much better in black.. the panel gaps and trim aren't as visible. :)

McLaren F1 is still the bench mark for me; I'd love to see a side-by-side track comparison of the CCX, Bugatti and F1. I'm guessing it would be embarrassing for the more modern cars.

I did see Stig kick some serious A$$ with it after the wing was installed, but did the one in the pic have a wing??? I didn't notice. They are great car and all these monsters can bite the hell out of a mere novice or a poser with a lot of money!

I was not panning the CCX, I do like the car, just saying that when it comes to this kind of car and this kind of expense I would say a McLaren F1 is FOR SURE the benchmark and as yet has not been knocked off the top step which is AMAZING considering it was designed in '89 (or conceived then anyway).

Oh, did you guys see Martin Brundel's "Super Cars" video...he drives one in that...not the CCX though and he was impressed w/ the handling and speed of the car but said it needed to go to finishing school...

Maybe it has w/ the CCX!

    YMMV!

+1 The car would be perfect if the silver bits were CF. Then it would look phenomenal!

    I love the Koeniggsegg.

    Meh........(IMO)

Its amazing what a computer, CNC machine, a few tools, and a surplus engine can create.

Personally I dont like cars that look like race cars.

Not a huge fan of this or the Mclaren. But I do see why others like them.

To me the Ferrari 288GTO is a perfect design.

This car is pretty insane, right up there with the McLaren, Enzo, and Bugatti.

True, but The Stig is a professional racing driver, so he's more than qualified to put this car at its limits. It's pretty much his job. He just pushed more than the car was capable of.

Well hell, I can push a car past where its capable of too (its called crashing lol). Keeping it at the limit is the impressive part.

The Stig is amazing...who is it?

The original Stig was Perry McCarthy. The current Stig is played by different folks, revealed after the press said Julian Bailey was The Stig. The other drivers have been guessed from Nigel Mansell, Damon Hill, or Jensen Button.
