    I am wondering about your opinions on this.... Which car is better by all fonts; looks, speed, SOUND, handling, acceleration, or just which one is liked most....

    I would rather have the GT. Its more exclusive (3 vs 30+). The looks are amazing it looks like it could beat anything on the track going in reverse! The SP is an amazing car as well but your comparing apples to oranges. An Sp can be had much easier and for much less. If memory serves me correctly Art was offered $6million for his GT and kindley turned it down. And the sound of the F50GT is intoxicating. Its what GOD drives on all those golden roads.

    I agree with you in that respect... barring in mind it is very shy of impossable to own one of them. However, i'm pretty sure that nobody has heard the new car's sound if it is any different from when it was sent back to Ferrari in 2004. Correct me if im wrong...

    F50GT without a doubt. The thing is a monster and been known to eat 360's and 430's by the bunch. It is the rawest car Ferrari has ever built, however I believe most of them are in garages right now :(

    I too, LOVE the F50 GT more than the 333SP. :):)

    And the 333SP ranks highly in my "dream garage". :p:p

    Why stop at 360's and 430's? The car could probably easily beat any ferrari with the exception of Formula 1 cars. Plus, it has so much power that on the dyno, once it gets to a certain point it needs to be shut off! :):p

    F-50GT is cool, but I don`t think it can really keep up with the 333sp.

    My vote is for the 333. It`s like driving a big fast go-kart.

    I see. I am pretty sure that the car is s/n 010, one of the first generation SPs. The car occasionaly comes to Watkins Glen, NY for the annual FCA meet. I have dozens of videos and pics of other 333SPs from the track, including this one. The owners name is James McCormick. I can hear the car EASILY around the coarse, drowning out other cars' noise.

    Actually the car is CN#16, this is the first of the michelotto cars. it is owned by Kurt Shultz. You are correct that we do go to Watkins glen with the car and will most likely do again this year. planning on Pocono now.

    Ahh... Well if you do end up going this year, I might see you then! By the way, is there a sound difference between the michelotto cars and any other 333sp?

    My vote goes with the f50gt1, especially since the 333sp has an f50 engine in it anyway. ;)

    It's a really shame that Toyota and Nissan had to cheat and didn't stick to the homogenization rule (of 50 road going cars). It really would have been nice to have seen the F50 race at Le Mans.

    I really don't think Nissan and Toyota had a choice. All together, I don't think that the F50 project was cancelled because it wouldn't be competitive for Le Mans, giving that the car was supposed to be clocking faster Fiorano times than the SP, although this hasn't been proven.:(

    I witnessed a 333 at Lime rock last year....The sound and gear shifts are so recognizable and so Visual even with your Eyes closed...The car is so purpose built...there is no other choice than this car....It is ayrton senna back from the grave

    They still didn't stick to the rule of 50 road going cars, as did Mercedes (CLK GT1), Ferrari (F50 GT1), Porsche (911 GT1), and McLaren (F1 GTR/LM). Sorry but Toyota and Nissan built full blown prototype race cars (especially Toyota) that had NO road going versions, before or after they built the race cars.

    Yes, this is true. The purpose-built Toyotas and Nissans were the GT1 and 390 GT1 correct? If so, I somehow recall a very rare roadgoing version of the 390, I am NOT SURE on this....

    What in the world are you talking about in regards to the dyno and shutting it off.


    Most dynos read to 1500hp... some go to 2500hp

    the f50gt is no where close to making 1500hp to the tire... not even close... also, if you take a 1700hp car and put it on a 1500hp dyno... the dyno just reads the power as 1500hp... ive seen it with my own eyes... many a time.

    Remember 50 road going versions had to have been made, FIFTY 50, not one or two hear and there.

    Ferrari made over 50 street driven F50's
    Mercedes made at least 50 street driven CLK GTR's
    McLaren made at least 50 street driven F1's
    Porsche made at least 50 street driven 911 GT1's

    Toyota and Nissan did not make 50 street driven cars. Remember the rules said 50 FIFTY, and they didn't stick to the rules.
