550 Barchetta Wanted

First of all, an apology...I am a newbie to the site and have only now gained a sense of how it works.I was blown away by all the help you guys gave someone in March who was looking for a Barchetta. I currently own a 550 Maranello(and some lesser cars).I would like to buy a Barchetta.Can you help me with your knowledge of what is available out there today please? Thanks in advance. I have a close friend who is selling his red/tan, one owner barchetta, I think it has in the region of 4k miles (6-7k kms). The car is like new and in Madrid, Spain.

PS - it is tough to call it "PERFECT,BEAUTIFUL & RARE" when you see the front passenger's carpet is missing and the fog light is out. Probably better shown if these were dealt with before taking pics.

Another ebay scam?

 

No, it is not an eBay scam. I purchased the car from Jim Lyons last year and did alot of work to it. I spent over $25K on a audio/video/radar/lazer/speaker system and had custom carbon fiber console installed on the center console. I also have a custom screen of the center console. I have saved the stock parts and stereo and can be converted back to stock. I did not butchered the car by any means. I also purchased a custom carbon fiber one piece top and the cost me over $25K. I did ask Jim to sell the car for me last month because I went on a shopping spree and purchased seven more car and was extremely short of space. I solved the space situation and totally forgot to tell Mr. Lyons to get my car off the market. Sorry for the confusion and apologize for the screwup.

I purchased the Barchetta from Jim Lyons last year, July or August, for $189K and invested alot of money customizing the electronics and carbon fiber interior (all of which can be converted back to stock). I was extremely short of garage space so I asked Jim if he can sell it since I purchased 5 cars in the past few weeks. I installed ten lifts which solved the problem so I asked Jim Lyons to take it off the market. I do not know how to post but know how to email. If you send me your email address, I would be glad to send you some pictures of the Barchetta with the carbon fiber top on.

Bart, good luck with the search. Makes me want to join you, but not being from S. Cal I am better off with a functional top. Just picked up a very nice Z8. Not as exclusive, but another beautiful design piece.

John, congrats on the Z8.......it is a beautiful design! I followed one for a bit on the freeway last week.........couldn't take my eyes off it.

I talked to the Jim Lyons guy who has the car on EBay, he thought I was nuts. Said the car is def for sale and made me feel foolish.
