Speed TV mentioned during qualifying that there are rumors floating around the Istanbul paddock about Massa's future and they caused him to be unhappy. He didn't look very happy in the post qual interview either.

    Anybody heard anything?

Here's hoping to him being out of the Ferrari at the end of this season. Bring on Vettel!

    Hooray for silly season?

Also if this is true, wouldn't this just make the case for the Alonso rumour joining Ferrari?

I haven't heard anything anyway, wait n see...

Massa helped his situation by Q'ing P1. Sad that Kimi didn't do better. Hope he is very heavy

Massa did well, I didnt hear any talk about the move..

I don't think he will win this one though, it's so close up front.

He will win and Alonso will spin off in turn 8. Sad that a handfull in here want to see Massa screw up just to prove a point. But of course if we dont pull for Ferrari "IF" Alonso comes over (and he wont) then we are fair wether fans and traitors ect ect ect :)

    Thanks.

I know we have speculated a lot about Massa etc, but that's not the point in this thread: I'd like to know what the rumors are flying around the Istanbul paddock. Massa looked very grim after winning that pole. So what's the scoop?

i'm very curious too as to what the deal is. Massa did not appear to be his usual upbeat 'loveable' self even after securing pole...hmm....something's fishy here...

it's not a matter of 'wanting' to see him screw up, it's his inconsistent drives that keeps the river flowing...

True. And I found it strange that the Speed TV guys would mention such hugely important news so casually en passant. Did they discuss this already in practice on Friday (I don't watch that)?

for god's sake Massa's on pole and he's proven to be a good 2nd driver for the most part. As long as Ferrari are winning races I'd never let him go. Why mess with a good thing? Look at what striving for absolute perfection got Mclaren last year.

Thanks for the link. It's always nice to see on board shots of the Ferrari. There are absolutely no sponsor decals in view, just a bloodred car...

BTW Massa outqualified Kimi 9 to 8 last year and this year so far 4 to 1 according to Pitpass.com.

Also I noticed in this footage that Massa didn't come up on Alonso. So was that on an earlier lap? at the weighing Massa and Alonso were very friendly with eachother. So maybe the're teammates at Ferrari next year! ;)
