The guy on the left is Sammy Hagar. This will give you some idea of what Tony looks like. More info will follow. http://www.redrocker.com/
Yesterday headed west on Dundee in Arlington Heights, maybe 3:30 in afternoon, a white Rolls convertible. Best guess would be it was a late 50's/early 60's Silver Cloud. Sorry, couldn't get a pic or the tag Skip, I was headed east at the time
Sounds to me like you may have seen my friend Robert's 53' Silver Dawn. If the top was down and the driver had a shaved head it was definitely Robert. He lives in Highland Park and takes Dundee to friends in Barrington.
Spotted today in St. Charles, a silver with blue stripe Porsche 550 Spyder (presumably a replica). I think the driver was even wearing goggles. Man, those weber carbs sounded great!
Red 430 spider with the top down near the MCA around 1:30pm That inspired me to take my Elise out for a drive, during which I saw: Black SLR roadster driving next to me on Roosevelt near Canal Black 911 Slantnose around 16th & Michigan First day I've taken off work in close to 2 months... felt good. Spring is finally here.
4 Astons around North and Wells.2 together in the early afternoon driving together and the other 2 at separate times closer to the later part of the the afternoon.
Nice looking red NSX zipping up & back down Tyler road in St Charles as I took a walk during lunch. Oh - a silver 360 spider parked outside Euroquipe too.
Red 330 (yes, a 330) in my hood... part of a much larger collection that is just around the corner from me!
Around 10:30 this morning in Hinsdale - a 330 GTC and a 288 GTO!!! (Ok, I'm cheating here, because they were at Continental AutoSports in Hinsdale, but that's the first time I've ever seen either in person!) The 330 was dark metallic gray and very classy, and the 288 was just...WOW! Rosso Corsa w/nero hides and no red inserts. Just my style. It was a customer's car though, so I don't have to worry about selling the house and a kidney just yet. They had three 599's and two Superamericas in there as well, among the rest of the candy store. Apologies to all for no pics.
Twice in the past few days I've seen a dark blue 360 spider with a challenge grill on upper Wacker by Columbus. Pretty car.
Not cheating this time - Today at 3:00 p.m. - black 550 Maranello on Midwest Road/Cass Ave traveling South just past 31st street in Oakbrook Terrace. My twin girls and I were on our way to go see Speed Racer at Yorktown. Beautiful car. We loved the movie too.
A rare find in Paris 2 weeks ago, a Deauville in great shape... Also,a 599 in front of L'Avenue . Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I feel like the odd man out because the car I saw the other day seems to be well known on this site. I know nothing about it, but I saw a red 360 with gold rims, a spoiler, and a gold stripe. Yeah okay you can yell at me all you want now. It's this one http://exoticspotter.com/list.php?page=5&batch=bt00048/bt00048_85510.JPG&model=all&make=all&location=all&loc=chicago
Must be Stephane Poux with the Deauville. He is always in that area with either : De Tomaso Guara, LM002, Pantera GT5 or this. He used to be the De Tomaso dealer in France. I miss L'Avenue so much..the whole city in fact . How was it ?
It was soooo good I forgot about the exchange rate (until I got my AMEX bill). L'Avenue is always a sure bet for a great light meal and for "people watching",had also a great time at Ami Louis and Aux Lyonnaise (my favorite restaurants)
It is ALWAYS parked at that North Beach 'Beached Boat' place. Never been there. Looks like a bar and/or resturant. There all summer everyday I commute home on LSD. Guy doesn't work?
Well, he did try starting a business giving tours of downtown in his 360; even had business cards made. I won't tell you where he lives, but it's in an apartment and it isn't downtown. Also has a Special Edition Cadillac decked out like the 360, red with gold pinstriping. When he bought the 360 he said he wanted it to match the Caddy. Tony is an enigma but, as far as not working, what's wrong with that? I haven't worked in 27 years!
Nothing wrong at all with it. I asked that question because if he spends so much time at that boat place and works then that must be his place of employment or owns it. I'd love to not work.
