Even at a 1 to 1 exchange rate those numbers are STRONG! At a 160K my 5 speed Khamsin would be available. :)

Well there are several Espadas currently being offered for over $60K and they are still there ...
I know of one that was a very nice complete restoration that sold for somewhere near that number last year twice and is now up for sale again. Three times in less than 2 years is a bit puzzling.

But that number for a Khamsin which IMHO is not the best color combo I've ever seen is staggering and perhaps an anomaly?

At any rate it's hard to believe that some sort of a value adjustment in a lot of these cars is far away. Not on the upside either.

I'm afraid I'm not a Jarama fan because the body is well ... neither interesting, sexy or beautiful to me. They supposedly drive very nicely though as it's just a shorty version of the Espada chassis.

Make mine a Khamsin instead please!

    Joe, Marc,
I was there. The Khamsin was a fantastic example! The price was well deserved!

    Ciao!

What were the high bids on the Mistral coupe and Ghibli Spyder?

    Joe,
the Mistral was a very nice example but unfortunately I missed the car somehow. The Ghibli-Spyder SS was a no-sale at 220K Euros! So, "Whizzy Hair"-man was not amused!

You mentioned that the Ghibli Spyder had an engine out of a coupe, was the Spyder built as an SS and did it have an SS engine installed? I'd like to find out what the Mistral Coupe did, I've been hearing rumors that they are moving up in Europe, but haven't seen any verifiable sales.

Joe, yes, a SS-engine was installed!
2 good, restored Mistral 4.0-liter had been sold recently for 85,000 Euros in Holland. A very nice 4.0-liter is currently for sale here in Germany for 90,000 Euros.

    Ciao!

With those kind of numbers and the numbers on everything in general. I guess I should start considering selling off some cars. As we all know they will drop again it is just a matter of when.

Let's see I can't sell off the Mistral because that is my wife's favorite.
I can't sell off the Ghibli SS, that is my favorite.
I can't sell off the Islero because that is my only Lamborghini and they are one of my sponsors.
I can't sell off the Khamsin because I've had it for over 20 years and it really is a member of the family
I can't sell off the Lele Marlboro because that is my daughter's favorite
I could sell off the Mondial Cab, but that is my only Conv. and is my summer driver so I guess I can't sell that either.

That leaves the Laforza, That's it I'll sell that and buy Beach Front Property in Florida with the proceeds! I guess I have to get it running 1st.

I know better yet, I could buy some more cars and think about selling them off!

My problem has always been that I like the cars more than the money.

Yes sometimes people turn everybody off with excessive asking prices, that happens A LOT here in the old world. I think Trennery has been asking too much for that Indy at fantasy junction and it hasnpt moved in many moths or is it a year.
Yes Jaramas are not very sexy but a south seas blue one is pleasant and they do feel more nimble than an Espada. In September when I was going very fast on a great Alpine road between Gstaad and Ollon Villars for the hillclimb a Jarama in just that color came flying by the other way: that was a nice sight and sound while ti lasted:)

Yep, it was noisy! A very serious crash happened yesterday at the Casino-Square when a `80ies F1-car went up in the air and rolled landing upside-down. The driver was rescured but was deeply shocked! Jessus - saw it 10 meters away!

Yes Monaco is exciting but one day....remember Montjuich...Alboreto and Tambay many years ago almost went over the edge, at the top of the climb and in the right hander before the Loews hairpin respectively.

I have emailed someone I know at Bonhams to ask about 504's future home country.

In Monaco during the 1985 GP when Patrese and Piquet crashed into turn one there was a ball of flames, my father was on the BMW France rented balcony: first floor of the last building on the left side of the track just before the first turn and he felt the heat and saw stuff fly higher than he was....

Bob, we can make it very easy: if you don`t like what and the way I write, if you point this out again and again - I think its better for me then to quit from this forum! Hope this is OK for you now to read only perfect Shakespearean English here, eh?
