    This is only my opinion...:)

We had our weekly exotic meet today I was talking about how I have not seen the f430 in town or ever in person and wouldn't you know it there it was parked just a few cars away

I can usually spot an exotic miles away but for some reason not this one, don't get me wrong it is a beautiful car and I would love to have one but it does not offer the
    wow factor(like the 348/355)

The car looks tall in stature not low like most exotics, sure it's wide but somethings amiss, with out the intakes and side badges I would of missed it in the parking lot,

Remember this is just my opinion so no one get offended...:)

Each to their own. I like em, but in saying that, I would probably never get around to owning one. ;);)

I'll probably get flamed for this by the 360/430 guys but oh well. IMO the last really exotic v8 Ferraris has got to be the 348/355. Moreso the 348 because of its aggressive door strakes. The newer cars are all looking pretty much the same to me. Don't get me wrong I love all Ferraris but really prefer the more exotic look of the lower wider styled cars.

AMEN to that, i'm with ya Roberto, I dont like em either... too big! The size of the 360/430 is starting to resemble one of the "Crossover SUV's"

Thank God I live in Argentina! Where anything with a prancing horse on it is SO ****IN* EXOTIC! I can still spot a Ferrari miles away here... no matter the model!

    Cheers,

This is definately the place to express ones preference to the better looking 348/355 models!! I considered a 360 because of its drivetrain and alloy chassis but could not get over that bulbous front end and excessively tall rear end ......... it scared me away... :(......... the 360/430 is nothing of the reason which made me admire ferraris for so many years...... that low flat wedge look of the 288gto, f40, 512tr and even the enzo...... :)

Now look at this front fender/profile comparison and tell me which looks better.......... the bean bag :(............... or the wedge ???

Well, you're on the 348/355 board, so you can probably wear your Nomex flame suit unbuttoned.

FWIW, I can spot 360/F430s from a distance, but as has been discussed here many times, when everyone's using the same wind tunnel everyone's turning out pretty much the same cars.

AAAAAAAAAAAA, The Bean Bag, they are ssoooooooo comfy... :)

In all seriousness I was going to buy a 355, but decided on the 360 because the belt service is so much cheaper. We already have a TR that makes us cry when it needs the engine out service... I have to admit though, after driving my 360 and getting used to it then driving another 355, I do prefer the 360 (A good thing after spending all that money I guess....)

Here's my take on it. 360's are to big, I have a nice roomy car as my daily, when I get into my sports car for some fun driving I want it to be small and nimble, I want it to be different, I want it to feel different, a 360 is to big, I don’t feel snug when I am in one, they might be just as nimble or more so, they might be faster, but for me, I want the feel and a small car has more feel about it. Ever driven a Lotus Elise?

I found myself multiple times thinking that a 360 was coming down the road, and it turned out to be a Corvette. I love the 360/430's...but they defintely are not stand outs to me like the 348,355's....no one ever misses a 348 or a 355...With that being said, the 430's and 360's just dont do it for me with the associated price tag...For that kind of money, I would be into a Gallardo or a Murcialago whch are both unmistakable for sure...Noble M12 unmistakeable, Enzo (not my type) but definitely unmistakeable, the 90's belong to Ferrari although the Diablo is an unbelievable car, but 2000 on up, I give the nod to the Lambo's....

    I couldn't have said it better myself.:D

I looked at a couple of 360's before I bought my 348 and was completely sold on the idea of the cheaper service items. I was also thrilled with the user friendliness of the car and the fact that I would be able to drive it more frequently. What I wasn't excited about was the rate of depreciation that is affecting these cars.

Also, for me, being able to do my own work is a big thing. The 348 and, to a lesser extent the 355, are about the last of the v8 Ferraris that can be worked on by the enthusiast without the need of expensive diagnostic equipment.

Given the opportunity to have a 360 along side my 348, I'd do it in a heart beat.... for the right price.:) After all it is a Ferrari and a cozy powerful one at that.

Exactly my feelings John!!! :D As you know, I feel pretty comfortable working on my 348. But the more complex and more computers there are & associated $BigBucks Test Eqpt. .... the less I want one.

John and Mike... have you seen these pics? They were posted in a thread here a month or so ago (sorry I'm not giving credit)
The Pics Also Say a Lot! Although I do have to say I do like the Spider looks too!!

WOW didn't realize that the 355 was that much lower than the 360...I Like the rear of the 355 better too. Classic Ferrari:)

Well, I was in the "considering a 360 purchase" boat a few months ago. I am happy that I stuck with the 348. The 360 drives absolutely great, and looks good also (to me), but the 348 is so much fun I could not let it go.

You are totally wrong. Just check out the totally awesome rear view mirror. No other car in the world has a mirror like this sweet mirror.

I saw the rear end of a yellow 430 today and mistook it for something Japanesse

Also I love that 355/360 Titanium comparison photo - I get lost w/ cars that look like their front spoiler has been ripped at the center and the 360's huge air intakes and no spoiler center has always left me - well confused. I appreciate at least the CS retaining a horizontal line.
