So is it Connolly hide and if so VM or Autolux?
Interesting that you post this - and I hope this isn't a hijack but a support - I yanked seats, carpets, panels this weekend. What a mess. Where would any of you 'source' the original leather. I need to replace my inner rocker covers, etc, etc and want a match. Seats/door panels are fine. Thanks for any input on brand, type, and mostly a 'place' to send for a match.
http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=196145 Check out my post above. I got the leather from an upholstery place that was able to get Connolly about 15 years ago. I think the grain, and color was right on.
I'd STILL laugh at you! But more out of spite, jealousy, envy and all those things. Some person cut speakers in my rocker covers, only a mere EIGHT of them though, so not a big deal. Then, just to make sure all was well... another SIX were in the little corner panels. Since the in-dash Pioneer was so untasty, he decided a Sony CD player betwixt the seats, in its own leather covered box (beautifully crafted, no kidding) would top things off nicely. Then at least 25 pounds of amps and stuff in the trunk were added to offset that nasty rear weight bias. Can't wait to correct this long-annoying issue with my car. Lots of leather things screaming for attention. Heck I might cover my sills in plastic when I get them redone!
ok if its VM hide which has the dirty grain then its going to be hard to get.Gut feel is Bill Hirsch in the States.I priced with Connolly VM hides for a Bentley and just the hides was 20,000 Aus (about the same in US $s.
Check with Re-Originals I know they have complete seat covers and may have matching hides. http://www.reoriginals.com/
