It is going to be a sucess even if it were LdM gold plated turd. Just look at all the bashing the Nissan GTR received. People will buy a Lada if it had a prancing horsey on it.
I wonder how long it will take Vandenbrink to come out with a redesign and fix it. Just think what he could do with the platform and the design goal. He will make a fortune on it if he tries.
I agree on the wheels. No character at all. I can't get over them - could sit on any mid-end car but on a Ferrari? The exhaust is a joke too, Lexus started it and it's kinda sad to see a almost 1:1 copy on something that's supposed to inspire copies instead of be one... The front doesn't do anything and would look terrible if it wasn't saved by the fancy settings, the grill and the color of the car... Look at the pictures posted... I'm afraid it will be outperformed by 3 year old Mercedes', Audis and BMWs, too. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Of course it will!! The cafe strips will be lined with them next year!! They have already taken deposits in Australia for them by the looks of it. The que has already formed.
Yup. The thing is, people also want the latest. So eventhough it doesn't stirr emotions like the other brilliant cars, it will probably be sold to those who wish to have the latest. Should be interesting to see how the prices evolve for this machine.
No 6 M/T? Might as well buy a Lexus. The sports car is dead - Ferrari killed it. At least Porsche and Aston still makes cars with real transmissions.
here you go, black is very hard 2 get a decent shade of in ps but it should give you a rough idea of nero... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
If you need to play around with colours to find one that suits, it isn't a good sign. Good design looks good in any colour.
The side is beautiful! The back looks pretty nice, and the front.....yuck. It seems to be to "ordinary" something my wife would pick up as a fun weekend car.
The car is a mess! It looks as though the body was simply laid over the wheels like a kit. The rear area design, from the bottom of the bumper to the top of the deck lid makes it look very tall and some how fat (not in pretty way) at the same time. I mean is this a joke? Seriously...the double over shotgun exhaust. Easy squeezey Japanesey! My eyes! It just can't be that Ferrari would design and produce such a thing. Every Ferrari Segway and laptop owner will surely find something redeeming, perhaps even pleasing here. I too think it will be a success for the same reason a Ferrari SUV would be.....a ferrari for the wife, and a daily driver. Let the shark jumping proceed. Loving the Alfa/Masers more and more every day.
I thought the exact same thing. The first time I saw it I didn't like it, but the each time I've gone back & looked I'm growing to like it more & more.
Not that well performing? A bit early to make that judgment huh? "bigger engine"? Ok, .5 liters of extra displacement, I'm pretty sure the actual engine is the same size, since it's the same Maserati/Ferrari block used in the F430 and both Maseratis. That's not so important though, what is more important is the fact that this car uses a flat-plane crank version of the engine, as in the F430, rather than the cross-plane versions used in the 8C and Maserati models. So I figure it will likely sound more interesting. Direct injection, and Ferrari's first dual clutch transmission are pretty interesting too, regardless of what the car looks like. Personally I like the side profile, but I'll have to see some non-studio shots, Ferrari's media pics really never do the cars justice anyway.
The car is briliant. You can't compare a lexus with a ferrari just because both have the same exhaust pipes. You can't complaine about power, if the car reach 62 in 4 secunds just like the 430. If they can do it faster then the 430 with less power....why complaine? A direct injection engine will perform better for 90% of the users.
