We are hearing wonderful things about the 430 Scuderia and the CS individually but can anyone give a back to back comparison? Would love to hear how they compare on the same road/track and hear all the detail. Apart from subjective things like looks on which there has been plenty of debate, I haven't seen much direct comparison.

Can those lucky people who have driven or own both PLEASE give their views?

    Thanks

This is a topic that should interest many people but surprisingly there has been no prior discussion so far either here or in publications. I am certainly interested!

We know the outcome - CS raw, harsh, tremendous sensation, slow shift... 430S more refined, everything more effortless, faster but doesn't feel it unless on the limit, Superfast 2 leaves you speechless...

You could substitute other predecessor/successors and the script would be the same - 996 GT3RS/997 GT3RS, Evo IX/EvoX... Technology marches on and 4 years is a long-time between the CS and the 430S

It would still be interesting to hear or read about a comparison. You are right though, that would be the final verdict.

The Scuderia no doubt beats the CS in all performance categories but not in looks in my opinion, and looks is at least half the appeal to me.

But not everyone thinks that newer is better. In the April 2006 issue of Forza, there is an article titled Top 10 Ferraris: The Drivers' Cars. Amazingly they picked a bunch of old cars mostly from the 1960's and 1970's. The newest car on the list is the F40.

Post is CS vs. 430S. Of course many of us would prefer a SWB but what exactly does that have to do with the topic at hand? I have an F40 and I would never compare it for a nano-second with my soon to arrive 430S

I think many of us feel that the most relevant benchmark for the Scuderia is the CS. In terms of aethetics it's clear that the newer car is not a sigificant step foward from the CS. How about the driving experience? Is it a lot better? One thing for sure - the Scud costs one hell of a lot more - and is that difference justified by the drive? Lets hear from those that have had both.
