Veloce Vegas Run - May 16-18th, 2008

If we leave later we'll be sitting in traffic for 3 hours. I'd rather hang out and relax at Starbucks than kill my clutch. Yeah we'll get there around 8:30.

 

You guys should just go up the 405 toward Lancaster and then cut across 14 and meet them in Barstow and enjoy the back roads.

 

Something to consider for all driving from the valley...
Take 101 to 210 east end up in La Verne (only an hour drive). You guys can relax at my place and then we can drive to Ontario. Boyd and I will be driving together leaving La Verne at 9:30. It is only an hour away and no traffic, NO CLUTCH WORRIES. If this works better for you guys, let me know I will have coffee and bagels ready for all.

Totally confused. The Original departure date was May 16th Friday with meets Ontario to LV. Then as threads go by it changes to May 15th Thursday deaprture with meets in Ontario? What day are we leaving? Thursday 15th or Friday 16th? There are many threads that read both days departures.....

I think we need to leave La Verne at 9:00am instead of 9:30 (which is cutting it a bit close with a 10:00am departure from Ontario).

Give me a call Thursday/tomorrow morning around 8:30am and then we can meet up......VCR group or not

I'll be leaving Redondo Beach Thursday eve around 6:30 for Vegas, probably stay in Primm Thursday eve, so I'll meet up at the hotel Friday morning for the run. I'm assuming everybody will be on slicks with open exhaust. Any recommendations for compound? Hard, soft, medium? Okay, at least the first sentence is true.

My car is ready and I am going to drive a one way rental car down and pick it up around 8PM at the Auto Gallery. Since I was planning to meet everyone in Barstow where is the meeting place in Ontario? I will be without a computer after 5Pm so could someone call me on my cell and let me know. 805-680-9962. Any suggestions on where I should stay out in Ontario tonight?
