I'm just saying, you can't sell a car by saying you can't drive it till you buy it get some milk and cookies for STORY TIME
Hmmm.... while I cant say about this car having stories or not, I can say that Craigslist isnt the best place to find "choice" buyers. I advertised my little 308QV in the same manner on Craigslist, i had NO serious calls, all lowballers and closet dealers (one really slimey guy kept calling to sell me a car AFTER I sold mine). I would not let a Craigslister drive my car until I knew they were serious, heck, I had 2 FChatters that weren't serious . James in Denver
The car may have a story, but likely it's just he wants to avoid joyriders. He did not say he would not allow a PPI.
Interesting.. I actually called on this car yesterday. But I found it in the Phoenix craigs list. And the 206 area code is in Seattle. Got a ladies VM and left a message... no call back as of yet. But I'm happy, found my car about an hour ago..
I just called as well.... Ladies VM. left a massage. I will buy it if it checks out and its clean!! If I get a return call I will keep everyone posted, I'll even tell you the story if there is one... Kourosh
If only that car was a 6-speed....I'd be callin!!!!!!!!!! You never know till you check it out....it may be a decent car.
Allowing a so called potential buyer, (whom you probably no nothing about) drive your car is a huge liability. I'm not in favor of using my car for test rides. If the buyer is seriously interested a PPI by a qualified technician will uncover existing conditions or reveal maintenance shortcomings that may become potential safety or financial issues for the buyer. I'll let the car dealers entertain the tire kickers.
almost can't go wrong at that price at that price...give it a service... and turn it into a good driver and have fun
Many Ferraris are sold without ever being driven. In fact, I bet it's one of the most bought without being driven car out there. Oh, and the price--ha-ha-ha. I got some land... Oh, there's free food in Vegas too.
Scam? Gotta check the obvious. The number in google... man o man, comes up with lots of craigslists ads from all over. http://www.google.com/search?q=206-280-8869&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-USfficial&client=firefox-a Scam indeed.
I say you're going to keep stepping out on that limb 'till one day you call it right! (Puts on flame suit in anticipation of retaliation)
Bucket seats???, wow... haven't heard that term when referring to a Ferrari...or since the '80's for that matter
prospective buyer: "Hmmm... looks nice... silver, I like that... Daytonas, nice............ uhm, why is their hay sticking out of the exhaust tips?" seller: "UH, UHM......... did I show you how shiny and Armor-All'd the interior is?????"
Look at the time stamp on the pictures. If your selling a car and don't have updated pictures..........Scam for sure
